HI,

This is 100% going ahead soon. I'm writing out a document that details some general info and guidelines, I will make it available as soon as its finished. There's no real rules... we must all make an effort to be respectful to each other and accept that different people have a different level of understanding of Eve. Generally try to be patient and calm, many of us will make mistakes, as long as we learn from our mistakes and adapt then there should be no problems, lets just go easy on each other.

Good job! I am very much looking forward to this. I support having a new player social tool that is immune to war-decs: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6863300

One thing to be careful about: there will be people trying to troll, awox or lead new players to their deaths. Please don't let them destroy your hard work.

Teaching players how to survive and avoid scams in EVE should be a big part of your plan. If I do join your group I will try to come up with concise guides to help with this.

Note: I spend roughly half my time in low sec and does PvP. So I can help guide people about those too.

If people like you are onboard how can we possibly fail.....

I've read your thread and it seems you have learned the game pretty quick. You're 2.5 months in and already you're talking about under the radar tactics..

Ya know it really is great to see a new generation of eve players here, we will get on comms soon and have a good chat, from what I know of you so far you seem like the sort of person I would support so that you in turn can help support the community. Thanks for posting, chat soon Big smile

Hi Aaron,

I read your proposal document. It's short, sweet and to the point. Definitely has good guidelines in it. Maybe you should add the link to your original post of this thread.

Anyway, gotta say your determination and perseverance over the years has my respect. You have a good attitude and a different viewpoint pertaining to how this game can be played. Keep the faith brother and never give up the dream.

May you have good luck and much success.

DMC, thanks man. much appreciated. will put the proposal in the op.

Salvos, indeed it is all about content. I think the hi sec little guys can be powerful if they work together. Hopefully this will help to inspire a good teamwork ethic. This really is a great chance for us to spread our knowledge and also learn more about Eve while having fun and not doing anything too isk risky.

I've almost finished the discord server setup I have to clone a few more channels and revise some permissions, also I'm going to create a mailing list in game and an in game chat channel. were almost ready to go.

Sometimes it is good to resort to a trial and error methodology within a game environment. We can have a look at what doesn't work well and learn from it.

I remember starting a completely new account and creating a toon with nothing but a noob ship, I wanted some peace and quiet after having a long drawn out psychological war in Stain. I was so happy mining and missioning in my noob ship without a care in the universe until I was recruited into a corp..........THAT is when the problems started!!, when I joined a corp. Big smile I should have kept my big mouth shut and stayed as NPC in my noob ship, I even tried to return the 10 million the CEO recruiter gave me but he weren't having any of it and sent it right back.

I then get dragged into becoming the corp eve guru and given responsibilities...then the CEO stops logging on and guess whose name is top of the list to become CEO? You know how the story goes....I do what I can PVP wise when we get wardecced, corp stars arguing.....people leave...I know lots of you can relate.

LOL, all I am saying really is just consider it carefully before you join a corp. Have a good look at the game from an NPC perspective and see how it goes.

Ahh, theres that epic scifi vibration again...

This is exactly what it's about Ranz, less responsibility and more fun.I think that the people with big responsibility in Eve have more to lose when the darkness comes. It's my opinion that joining a corp should not be taken lightly, if Eve has taught us one thing it's that.

Again, thanks to all the guys who will be supporting this with their precious time. It will be an honour to work with you on this, I've got a feeling this will be fun and I can't wait to get stuck in and chat to you on comms.

Wish you the best of luck with this Aaron, you can count me in. A word of warning though, trust will be your number one issue in this community, as eve is full of slimeballs. You're going to have to be extremely careful not to accidentally trip over and find your trousers round your ankles. I worry that the close community you're looking for will be impossible if people can't trust each other.

Edit: I don't know if it's been said before, but it could be worth reaching out to other highsec communities and marketing yourself as a central meeting place where more specialised, but still not in a corp, playstyles can happen. Roams for example could be covered by bombers bar and spectre fleet etc, incursions could be tvp, tdf, you get what I mean anyway. These groups have some weight already and might like having their name in an obvious place, if this community gets big. We need reasons for people to want to join us vs playing solo.

Corporations accept complete strangers into them and survive just fine.

Public NPSI communities are made up of complete strangers not even in the same Corp and survive just fine.

The game is full of people who are for the most part, just normal decent people. I'm sure Aaron's community will survive just fine while it remains drama free.

Lots of NPSI groups have some kind of precautions, assuming that a single member can do much damage to the group. It's mostly meant as a precaution, be vigilant of those that might be less than sincere.

LOL there will always be drama in Eve.

I'm promoting a method to ease us gently into trusting one another. perhaps if we start off on level 4 missions where 4 or 5 of us use cheap cruisers and focus our fire power we can limit our loss (if any) and at the same time help put more isk in the newer guys wallet. I will be looking for the guys who seem happy to relax, come on comms, and mission. I don't think a troll or awoxer will invest much time in going undercover just to take out a few cruisers on lv4 missions.

Perhaps when we have seen a few familiar faces we can look at using battlecruisers for the level 4 missions, we obviously wont be able to complete them as fast as battleships would, we get the mission fleet numbers right and we can get through them reasonably quickly by relying on the fleet as a whole and not just yourself solo. so generally;

- Limit your loss. fly a cruiser and fleet it up for missions to begin with
- come on comms talk about the latest episode of The Expanse and let people get to know you
- relax and take it easy, no rush, no hype.

I think trolls would find it hard to live in this environment if we all follow these guidelines, being NPC we wont be solo, we wont have any corp asset to protect, and we are immune from wardec. by doing this we will have made ourselves unappealing to the trolls and awoxers because they are looking for the billion isk structures to destroy and shiny ships and freighters and we simply dont have any, All we will have is each other, and the cheap loss limited pvp or pve ship were in.

Eve is nothing more than a mind game and if we play it in a particular way we can progress and out think our opponents at every turn.

EDIT: 29/03/17

Almost ready to go live, please review our proposal document NPC Hi-Sec Community Proposal

__________________________________________________________________________________________

I've been looking into starting a blue community within hi sec for the sole purpose of getting people together and enjoying the game and making friends. It is difficult for new, solo players and smaller corps to operate within hi sec due to the way in which the war dec mechanic is used so I wanted to create something that will give people a break from war decs.

Some general guidelines, ideas and features I've thought of are as follows;

- must be in an NPC corp to be part of the community

- TS3/Voice comms will be provided

- Key people organising missions or low sec pvp ops, people giving advice on how to play Eve

- Chat Channels/ Mailing list for communication

Generally I'd like to keep this cool and stress free without the usual problems that arise from being in a corp or alliance. I'm interested in working with like minded people who are interested in helping to bring back the fun in hi sec. It should be lots of fun.

Please feel free to discuss ideas here and maybe in a few weeks we can get something going.

just wondering, why didn't you just create a recruitment advert in the correct section of the forums like everyone else?

it's almost like you think you're the first to think of this, also forgive me for asking but if you've ran a corp and failed what makes you think you have a chance at running something like this?

also your little document states you'd like to be able to go blow everyone elses shite up and then have a nice bubble to go play in where your nice and safe ( or at least have the illusion you're safe ) when shite gets too hot for you to handle,, are you having a laugh? Roll

I found this very funny. This is a common tactic used by gankers and war deccers when shite gets too heavy they dock up and wait for it to pass. Now you're here criticising me when i suggest employing a similar tactic? Your manipulation will never fool me I'm fine with you posting here because I will respond to you and counter everything you say with logic.

You want more people in corps so that its easier to target them, I'd actually have much more respect for you if you just came here and said that instead of attempting manipulation.

I spent some weeks among a similar community while I was looking for my ways in New Eden. It was very educational, and made some buddies there who I still keep contact with. Some of them I call friends, and I would not stab them in the back without a very good reason (like.. profit).

That group was kept together by enthusiasm, so it got dissolved once that enthusiasm ran out. But it didn't have all that thought and planning you have in yours already. I'm sure you'll do better.

I'm even tempted to apply.. My trader alt could use some faction rep, and the only way I could imagine grinding missions is to be on comms with EvE enthusiasts.

docking up to avoid a fleet you can't kill and avoiding wars completely are 2 very different things.

giving bad advice and pushing the agenda of avoiding corps when it's been proven doing so will shorten your EVE lifespan and is not very good for the game at all.

then you claim to know what i want, claim i want people to join corps so i have easy targets without even checking to see what wars i've been in and who i may have declared war on and because i have a very different view point on this than you do
you then claim i'm trying to manipulate people.

you're the one that created a document and a post on here to lure people away from corps and join you in a group that wants to avoid PVP but wants to PVP Roll then claim your going to bash me with logic.

give me a feckin break hahahahahaha RollLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLol

Stay out of high sec and don't worry about war decs in the least.

Problem: Need to sell / buy stuff from jita?
Solution: use alt character in noob corp to move it to jita. You can then Jump Clone to jita docked main clone, to do the dirty (or train up that alt a little and don't ever show your face there).

If you want a community, you will never (it's been tried for many years and came to nothing) succeed by fishing for people who wish to remain in the noob corp.
