oh hell.. (ducks for cover)

Good marketing idea! People would get the game just to have a browser on the switch.

I've personally always wanted to be able to play eve by mail; a keyboard, mouse, or controller are all far too inaccurate for me

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.

Some turn based games could have been played by e-mail I remember. That included strategy games, Chess was played my classic mail even. Now you see people complaining about a few seconds lag. Shocked

Some friends and I used to play FASA's Leviathan (Renegade Legion) over a BBS back in the day in a play-by-mail fashion. I can hear the modem now.

Most serious strategy games still have a "play by email" option even today.

As long as a game is turn based, playing by mail is relatively easy to implement. For games that have long game time, it also happen to have the benefit of not forcing you to do marathon to complete a single game.
