Were you scared when you entered the capsule for the first time, and if so, how did you get over it?

No, not really. Entering first capsule for me wasn't scary, though I barely remember it, it was like I was in a fog, confused and disoriented. And I think I have to admit here that I was actually scared right before it - of the exact process of becoming a capsuleer. Yes, I heard about wetgraves back then, but after I passed the... well, becoming one, the rest wasn't much important for me anymore.

Do you remember your first flight in a capsule? How did it go?

Went about as well as anyone else's I suppose. Woke up in my capsule in the middle of a dead space pocket and warped to a station. OP success?

When were you humbled in a fight and how?

More times than I can count. Imagine a hand-purse dog trying to take down a slaver hound. Now imagine that they are both in space. That's how.

I learned that the Jin-Mei upper crust keeps tiny dogs in their sleeves. What's with that?

I haven't the foggiest idea why. What if the dog gets loose and runs around the robes. How do you keep a straight face!

But sometimes the tiny dog will win I guess. I remember the rush from beating a Szipul in my Dragoon or a Garmur with my Battle Magnate and a friend in a Tormentor and some other similar fights against the odds!

Why do you keep fighting even after you've been humbled and battered and bruised?

I once wrecked an Omen in a Vigil Fleet Issue and I took out quite a bunch of Thrashers in a Breacher. Breachers are strong, okay?

Answering the question: Because giving up leads to stagnation and we can't have that. We do not simply throw our arms up in the air when a prototype breaks down during a stress test, do we? No, we work on that prototype some more and fix the problem. I apply the same concept to starship combat.

What's the biggest ship you had taken down in the smallest ship you can fly?

As in the largest ship in comparison to what I was in at the time?
Charon in a Cerberus. (I was alone at the time)
Largest in the smallest ship that I'm capable of flying?(Going to limit to frigate, I've never gotten a kill in an Ibis) Hurricane in a Federation Navy Comet(I was not alone at the time).

What about out of the pod fights? Been in any notable ones?

Pre-Empyrean days, I got into many fights. From convoy escort back on Skarkon in a MTAC (carried in an oversized APC. We do not march our MTACs across the dustbowl. That's only going to slow down the convoy), to firefights in compromised outposts (as in an actual firefight, not an exercise) when I was an RMS cadet undertaking combat engineer and marine course (typically we shorten that to Marine Engineer).

But of all the fights I got into, the one I remembered best was that one time I punched out my mentor back when I was with the Fabricator Circle of the Egivand Enclave. It was a, eh, very passionate debate about using tweels over liquid sealants for the wheels of surveyors we planned to roll out by the end of that year.

Well, what's the silliest brawl you had ever gotten yourself into?

At one time, I was getting checks from the STARSI Company as an endorser of their cereal line "Torpedo-Os".

At one of the product launch events for "Cherry Torpedo-O's", someone in the crowd shoved someone else through the security cordon and into the large and intricate pile of branded boxes, arranged into a 20-foot high pyramid.

When the mountain of cereal collapsed onto the crowd, the whole lot, as if on queue, instantly turned feral. While my trusty Kameiras did well not to pull their weapons and exacerbate the situation, it did not take long before everyone on the dias was expertly hurling boxes of Revenge-Flavored Breakfast back and forth in coordinated volley-fire against the crowd, who stood and delivered right back for the good 10 minutes it took for local security to wander along.

Quafe-funded skulduggery, you can be sure.

The day I lost my arm after my second failed breakout.
Odd that you should mention Kameiras in your post given the person who took my arm used to train them.

What's the thing you did to someone that you most regret and why did you do it (rage, revenge, orders) ?

Ignoring the boring and predictable murders and betrayals, and moving on to things I actually regret--

I've up and abandoned perfectly fine people, stopped talking to them, or just left them in the dust, for bad reasons; because I'd grown bored with them and my head was more into starship combat than their needs, or because they didn't serve my purposes anymore, or because I thought it would let me escape the judging gaze of others.

(It couldn't. Not that I would feel better if it did.)

So, yeah, I could use a pick-me-up. What's currently making your life better?

Even though our love is cruel; even though our stars are crossed.

Taking a short holiday. Nothing to manage, no delivery dates hanging overhead, and I'm trying to set worries aside for a time. They will certainly still be there when I return.

There are a surplus of resorts on Fegomenko VII, most of which are specialty lodges based on wider totemic associations, drawing no shortage of the spiritually inclined. While the commercial angle is a little tacky, I will vouch for the restorative qualities. The sky is not overbright at midday, and it is swelteringly hot, so you've no choice but to sweat out your cares. Even at night, the heat rarely abates, but when the winds rise, the cooling rivulets on one's dampened skin... exhilarating. They make excellent fruit-derived cocktails at my current waystop, some with heavy cream on the bottom. Delicious.

In that spirit, where would you like to get away, when next you're able?

I'd actually like to try something totally different, for me, and visit the Republic or State if it could be safe for me to do so. I've never visited planetside in either place.

Is there a person who you wish was in the date/do chores Auction but is not?

Thinking about it, Diana Kim. Because I'm curious to see who would auction for her and what a date with her is worth.

But if you meant who I personally want to date/give chores to that I wish would be in the Auction, nobody, I guess? I am a husband, so I already have someone to date and I already have plans for the chores.

Now here's a question I like answered seriously: Which Minmatar ship would you use for prototyping new engineering concepts, and why?

A Vigil, simply because that is the only cheap Minmatar ship I have.

Since that may not be a very satisfying answer and I don't have a question myself other than the one that was left unanswered a while back, I'll just let Egivand's question stand.

The Typhoon.

It has a Large, Strong Hull, and has a Wide Variety of Standard Fittings, including All 3 Common Weapon Systems - Turrets, Missile Launchers, and Drones.

This would make a Typhoon a very Flexible Test-Bed for Experimental Work, allowing a Wide Range of Experiments to be Conducted.

Question: Which Historical Figure would you Consider to be the Role-Model that influences You the Most ?

Synthia 1, Empress of Kaztropol.

Tibus Heth.

He is everything that Caldari strives to be. I am proud I lived in the State during His reign and served him. And I am greatly saddened that he is not with us anymore and became just a history. But even if his body is dead, his legacy will live in all of us and will be lighting hearts of every Caldari with hope for thousands of years. Long live the State!

Which historical event has changed your point of view on any subject most greatly?

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

Aria Jenneth.

I managed to dig up my question that was (likely inadvertently) skipped over by my dear friend mme. Daphiti.

If you had a partner/lover when you first died (either as part of your capsuleer exam or otherwise), did your death affect your relationship in any way?
