Hello there! I’m looking for a new corporation to call home, preferably in low-class wormhole space. Apologies if this is a bit of a long read—feel free to skip to the TL;DR at the bottom.

A little about me:

I’m primarily a wormhole PvPer who likes ganking ratters, skirmishing in nano ships, slugging it out in 0km armor brawls, and just about anything in between. I’ve been in a few wormhole groups, including Chesterfield’s old C5 corp, a corp that shared a wormhole with these guys, and my previous corp Fly Sideways, which is part of the Ember Sands alliance. I usually fly cloaky cowardly ships and skulk in the shadows like the coward I am, but I’m happy in anything from dual-prop hull-tanked Hookbills to remote-rep Dominixes.

I find scanning to be quite relaxing, and it’s my go-to activity whenever I log on. I expect to have ample opportunity to dive into a chain and fill our mapper!

I’m USTZ, and primarily play between 22:00-6:00 Eve time weekdays and 18:00-10:00 Eve time weekends. I try to log on and do things every day to the best of my ability, but might be intermittently busy with school or other real life things.

I have a half-decent killboard that I try to keep looking half-decent, if that’s your sort of thing. I’m the top all-time killer in my previous corp by a healthy margin, and 6th all-time in the alliance (which also has the much older corporation POS Party). (Note: I haven’t been active in PvP for the last week or so due to finals and needing to move all my stuff out of my previous corp’s wormhole.)

If you’re curious why I left my previous corporation, I’d prefer to discuss that in private, because they’ve been an absolutely fantastic group to play with and leaving them has been the hardest thing I’ve done in Eve. If you’re on good terms with them or their alliance, all the better.

As a heads up, depending on when I post this, I might still be in that corporation for communication purposes.

I have 8 useful (read: not scouts/PI alts) characters spread over 5 accounts.

I mainly use my 60+mil SP main, which is primarily skilled for subcap PvP. Some skill highlights include:

  • Good all-around support skills
  • All racial frigates, destroyers, and cruisers at V, along with all small/medium T2 guns and T2 light/medium/heavy drones
  • Amarr/Minmatar battlecruiser V, Amarr/Gallente battleship V
  • Recons V, all BC and below T2 ship skills at IV or greater
  • Decent T3 skills for all four races, with a mix of IV and V for subsystems

My useful alts:

  • Competent Naglfar character (Racial dread V, T2 siege/guns/tank, etc.), although no experience flying capitals
  • Soon™ to be competent Thanatos/Sin character
  • Two additional subcap PvP alts
  • DST pilot, freighter pilot, market alt

Things I’m looking for in a corp:

PvP focus. I play this game to shoot other people, and it’s no fun if I’m the only one doing it. Before all else, I’m looking for a corp that has PvP as its first priority. Preferably that PvP would come in wormhole space, but I’m not one to shun kspace roams. That isn’t to say that you can’t take out your aggression on sleepers from time to time or chew the occasional rock, and I certainly won’t hold it against you if you prefer a wider mix of activities. But, I’ve learned that I personally don’t enjoy the game unless I’m mostly looking for PvP content or shooting said PvP content, and if your corp doesn’t share that attitude then I probably won’t be a good fit.

Activity. This is a pretty close second. I don’t mind if your corp only has 30 members, but I want to regularly have people to play with. (In fact, I prefer a high-activity small corp to a low-activity large one.) I’m not saying that half the corp needs to be logged in 24/7, but Eve is no fun alone. Nothing’s more frustrating than scanning out a nice chain and finding content only to realize that nobody’s online to do anything with it!

Friendliness. In general, people should be nice and drama should be kept to a minimum. I want to join a corporation to make friends and fly with cool people.

Capability. I’d like to fly with people who’ve had some experience in the game, in part because it makes it easier for me to get better. This also means that I’d like to regularly be able to take fights that present themselves, and preferably come out on top more often than not. Of course, losses happen, and I’m not looking to be “elite” or expunge my killboard entirely of red.

Again, I’d prefer a corp based in low-class wormhole space, (read: C2, maybe C4) as this is where I’ve found I’ve enjoyed the game most. That being said, I won’t immediately rule out other options, and even though I haven’t so far like lowsec/nullsec/high-class wormholes as much, I’m always open to experimentation, and I’m sure I’d be happy with a good group no matter where they’re based from.

(Continued from previous post.)

Possible reasons I might not be a good fit:

My age. I’m 18, which I realize is quite young to many in Eve. For what it’s worth, my previous corp thought I was in my mid twenties until I told them otherwise. Still, even I get sick of people my own age, and I understand if you like to keep to an older crowd.

My skills. I’m a solid 3/10 pilot, and have more experience with noskill ganks than proper skillful engagements. I can double-click in space and have from time to time fought someone without just hitting approach+F1, but I’ve still got a lot left to learn.

My wallet. I don’t consider myself terribly poor, but I’d have to sell off some assets if I wanted to buy, say, a super. I tend to rely on gradual income streams like PI or battlefield loot to replace any losses, so I probably won’t do too well if I’m expected to replace billion-ISK ships on a daily basis.

My religion. I’m (technically) Jewish, which has surprisingly been a problem in the past. Don’t worry though, I won’t be the least bit offended if you make jew jokes in my presence. In fact, I’m eager to hear all your best ones!

I don’t mean to make myself seem too formal with this post, (I’m fun and lighthearted, and I’ll kill anyone who says otherwise!) but I’m looking for a long-term home and want to make sure it’s as good a fit as possible. Despite what the wall of text preceding this might lead you to believe, I want to keep an open mind about the next chapter of my Eve career, so feel free to drop a post or hit me up in-game if you think I might be a good addition to your corp—or hell, even if you just want to chat! Apologies in advance if I don't respond to your convo in a timely fashion, I'm often tabbed to other clients or dealing with a lot of windows.

Hi man,

Nice intro!

I don't think we're a good match because of the timezone, but still wanted to give it a try. We're EU-TZ and mostly active on weekdays between 18:00 to 00:00 eve time. That is only a small overlap, but on these days it means that when you login, we have already a decent chain scanned for PVP. In the weekends we have many hours where we can play together.

Please send me a message if this sounds interesting.

We're aiming for lots of pvp but there is still enough to learn. Good thing is, we're active and a bunch of cool guys to fly with :)

Cheers,
LJ

Want to try wormhole life? Send me a message!

We're an active PVP Wormhole corporation living in a C4 with a C3/C5 static. Main timezone is EU-TZ.
