Fighters return and orbit

Hi

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Can you give fighters the same logic after target is destroyed to return and orbit the carrier? Like normal drones. I understand why they don't aggress like drones, but the fact that they just stop and go "Hey shoot us" is frustrating.

It is the least you can do after making them the size of carriers and even a gnat sneezing on them destroys 2 fighters.

Thank you in advance.

I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

They didn't make them the size of carriers and all drones stop in mid air once their target is destroyed. The only reason it is less visible on light/med/heavy is because of the auto aggro mechanic which usually has good chance of making them attack something on the next tick so they don't stay stopped for long.

I was exaggerating.... I know the mechanics. Not the point of the post?

I want fighters to return and orbit the carrier once the target is dead.... I do not expect them to make the fighters auto-aggro.

Your fighter will still die flying slowly in a straight line toward you unless you tell them to MWD and at that point, you might as well tell them to orbit a target.

They have more hit points than a cruiser, and their signature radius (if my sources are accurate) is smaller than that of a cruiser. Combine that with very high travel speed and they'll be difficult to shoot down.

I think the bigger problem is that PVE rats shoot down drones too easily.

But I think the bigger question is why are you using a carrier against rats that shoot fighters?
