Black Screen after Login

Hello,

after logging in, I can select my character, but then the screen goes black.
With another character (that never moved beyond the starting system), I can log in normally.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Putting this at the top so it's seen by others with the same issue:
- In the game launcher: Settings > Shared Cache Settings > Click 'Verify'
This corrected the problem for me. It took a long time to run and only found one corrupt file, but I guess that one was the one. Hope this helps others with this issue.

Same. Was working the other day. Today there was a small patch when I launched, then a black screen after character select.

A few other oddities:

- If I press 'ESC', nothing happens
- If I try to close the window (I am in windowed mode) via the 'X' in the top-right, I can then see the local chat (which is working fine), the character select screen and background, and system information. Also, the 'Log Off?' dialogue is up, presumably from pressing 'ESC' above. I can dismiss it, but the station still doesn't show.
- I can load the (old) star map with F10 once trying to close the window gets the graphics semi-working. Likewise Mail, Market, Inventory, etc.
- Switching to Fullscreen (even if I log off and on again so the client can start in Fullscreen) does not fix it.
- I tried checking the 'Download Everything' option in the Launcher, since that had been a fix for similar issues in the past, apparently. After restarting the launcher, it downloaded a bit over 2GB of data. This did not correct it.
- I tried updating my graphics driver, which also did not correct the issue.

Try clearing the client cache files. If that does not work then open your shared cache folder and delete the tq folder. Then restart the launcher and see if the issue persists.
