Generally speaking it's just a good idea for any forum. Not just the literal "forums", but any place where you'll be writing something out where you expect to exceed approximately 1,000 characters.

I used to just have a second window of the same forum open, and I'd copy/paste from there to the one I intended to post with. Should the post fail, the post was still sitting in the second window. That worked GREAT until an attempted post not just failed, but crashed Firefox.

Now I just write things in OpenOffice (periodic autosaves for the win!) and copy/paste them from there.

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

If anything, even if we forget post count, Tippia win by having a declared "line in the sand" where unsubbing would be the result and just following through with it when CCP went past it. All the "I will quit if X" we got now usually post some time later.

Im still savoring her saltiness that she left.
I enjoy it immensely.

I have her "eve is dead" leaving rage bookmarked, and occasionally lick it for endless most precious, most delectable salt. Truly delicious.. Tastes like vindication and victory.

Tippia was insane, and it consumed her in the end.
I sometimes wonder what she does now with all the time she otherwise spent posting endless crap here.
What kind of life could she have left, outside of these boards?
