Use tachyon beam lasers, a MJD and an X-large shield booster II and you'll be able to take on any L4. I get that your skills are for armour, but if you armour tank the nightmare you sacrifice all of its good qualities, making it a huge waste of isk.

Well it only takes 2 Nestors to Rep a C5, Guardians (4/2) would take a few more since they rep 55% of a 5 rep Nestor (a 4/2 Basi repping a 2X Invlu + T2 EM rig reps like 70% of a Nestor) and the Nestors we roll with do 700 DPS so we can field more DPS ships and the logis have lot as well . Anything we lost from the 1 extra low slot (1 DC2 vs 2X EANM) is made up for by that.

99% of the time you are right but that does not always need a out of the box approach is not better.

2 Large remote caps can't keep up a Snake under drifter nuets so using unvuls is risk business. Not impossible if you time it right but its harder.

What are you talking about and since when does the Nestor have an armor repair amount bonus?

The Nestor has an remote armor range bonus, which makes a 5x remote rep Nestor an Oneiros with 25% more repair power or one more remote rep.

Can you elaborate like you would fit a Guardian and please tell me where you find a bigger, subcapital remote armor repair module that isn't the large t2 one?

When I fit N+1 Guardians 4/2, they all have 4 t2 large remote armor repair modules on, so the bare minimum would be 8 large remote reps.

My Basilisk fits would have 4x t2 large remote shield boosters on and in a N+1 situation where the bare minimum is 2x Basilisk would also be 8 large t2 reps, I count more than 5.

The remote repair values for armor / shield and capacitor per second you can find in my latest addition I made in my fitting guide which everyone keeps ignoring since I reopened it.

My joke about brave's Guardian fits was a comment of that weird 1x large and 3x medium remote rep setup they lost in that fight last week.
They better put much more and bigger plates on their Guardians next time..

The fit is 4 pulse lasers and 2 tractors on the top (better for my needs now with tractorsBig smile)
Active shield tank, afterburner, battery and tracking computer in the middle
And damage control, 2 tracking enhancers and 3 heat sinks in the bottom

All work great - enemy's die fast. Thanks for make me find the active shieldSmile May be will try beam lasers soon I am not sure really I need some more range or notSmile
