[FAO] ISD Max Trix

Hi, in response to a thread titled "Rorquals got hammered 2.0" I'd typed out a considerably time-consuming response (I'm too old to be one of those that learned typing at school or recreationally). Unfortunately, by the time I posted my response the thread was 404'd. Please recover my text and PM it back to me so that I might amend it for the forum thread at the new destination. If this is not possible, could you please suggest to the people in charge of forum maintenance that an option to recover draft versions of replies to 404'd threads be implemented (the drafts are already saved, but don't seem to carry over to any thread other than the current, please correct me if I'm wrong here).

I do not believe you will be able to recover that post. It is lost in the ether of the internet. But I do believe the Discourse system that the new forums will be using has a merge feature that will allow us to merge threads, which would prevent this issue in the future.

I've learned to Ctrl+C long posts before hitting submit. If you're lucky you can hit the back button and your post will be there, but that requires that you have the window up.

Hehe, thank you for the reply Mr Trix.

It took longer to write this OP than the original reply to the other post to be honest: it's quite hard to sail between 'the islands of too polite to lock in good conscience' and 'the shoals of snarky bastard'.

For what it's worth, I was genuinely miffed at having my post "Max Plancked" though.

Please do push for the new forums asap - it's really annoying to browse them on a phone!

According to the CSM minutes the New Forums should be up at the end of the Quarter 1 which is should be the end of April.

I'm usually pretty good at typing in LibreOffice first and copypasting later, but not always...
