History

When I first created this character I had one thing in mind; A purist scientist.

There was two things that fascinated me about this game, beside the one-server persistent world, and that was the real-time skill-training and the ability to invent things that wasn't already in the game (no, i'm not talking about Invention - that was much later!).

So I devoted my initial time in game to optimize my skill-training toward gathering as good and many research agents as early as possible.

Since I could not waste my skill-points on combat and ships, I developed techniques to run missions in my beloved lousy-skilled Tristian.

In the end I was even running lvl3 missions (remember, back then there was no lvl4) in my shield-tanked little Tristian. They could take hours to complete.

Eventually I got my set of lvl3 RnD-agents, and I could slowly start distribute my skillpoints elsewhere. It was time to become a miner.

So I gave up on the missions, and became a devoted miner instead. Mining high-sec ore, and slowly starting my career as a trader.

Good were those times, peaceful, hanging out in the belts, chatting with some newly found friends, trying to optimize my mining-skills.

Then, one day, it just happened - I got The Call from one of my agents...

Among many other things, he was once upon time, to my knowledge, the largest private holder of POSs. Possessing a private holding of 27 (mostly large) industrial POSs.

While not looking huge today, please remember this was back in the days before they extended the fuel hold of the towers - and before they could be accessed by a freighter. :)
Being such a focused scientist, and having carefully selected my agents' topics to optimize my odds (ie. not the most popular ones), I did receive a couple of those offers - before they decided to close the lottery.

And at least one of those T2BPOs offered were extremely valuable...

I decided I was better off selling those while they where still peak hot, and with a good bit of negotiations, informal auctions, etc. I managed to turn them into an amazing fortune!

From being a simple but hard-working miner, I had now turned so filthy rich there were, simply, no longer nothing I could not buy.

Luckily they had just invented capitals, so I got myself the one ship that would become my passion - an Obelisk. One of the very first ones in game.

It was time to leave the career as miner. So instead I started investing in the most expensive industry I could find in game - Player Owned Structures. Lots of them!

And, of course, all those POSs also required a Moros...
I started establish myself as one of the largest traders of advanced materials.

Not only did I have a fuel consumption in those towers of over 1Gisk/week, and some well-payed haulers to do the refueling, I was also using the market to increase my turnover and make sure I could satisfy my customers increasing needs. Delivered on steady basis to their doors.

It was good profit.

Eventually I got tired of those POSs. They were simply too much work. Way too much work. (Please remember this was back when the towers had a fuel hold of one week - and could not be accessed by freighters!)

I had now established myself with a great business reputation, and I had managed to make more money than I could ever need.

I was in need of a different challenge...
So I became CEO of a corporation from 2006 through 2009 I had spiritually founded about a year earlier.

As a hobby I used (perhaps abused) my money to experimentally manipulate the Jita market, making speculations and marginal profits. (Some days I was investing vast amounts of isks, to get in economic control of some particular popular item.)

My time as leader was good fun. I was much appreciated, we made many friends, invented many new approaches on things and the corporation was generally successful. Somehow the spirit of the corporation also seemed to attract intelligent players. Creating an even stronger leadership core and spirit.

It was probably my best period in EVE.

Eventually this successful corporation also turned into an alliance in 2008.

History Continued

As time passed RL set in and the decision to sell K'man was on the horizon. So, on January 20th, 2011 it was sold.

Wanting to continue the challenges and to be different than others it was decided to do things that not many other capsuleers take on.

In 2012 I decided to run my own operation in a C5 wh. learning the different aspects WH space I managed to train some alts from scratch to run my own capital escalations. It was a goal of mine to see how much isk you can make in the shortest amount of time.

After several tweaks, 8 months of training and many adrenaline rushing moments I managed to make 80b isk in a month. It was shortly after that I was evicted from the wh but I was fully prepared for it and managed to get all of my capitals out of the WH and most of the assets. They still popped close to 20b but much less than what was invested.

My next challenge started in 2013 when you could still take modules to reprocess for minerals at a higher rate than if you were to haul the minerals. I decided to take myself and my alts and produce capital ships in lowsec near jita.

It was a huge initial investment for all of the max researched BPOs and the initial cost of minerals but I soon found out it was well worth the investment. I was producing 12 capital ships a month at almost 200 to 400 million isk in profit per ship.

I then realized that I could also be researching original capital ship and capital ship component BPO on the side. I did a lot of spreadsheet work and found the precise number of cycles to sell researched BPOs for a turnover each month. I was making billions a month.

The last 4 years have consisted of donating isk to influence wars or being generous to others that I have flown with over the years. I attempted to run my own 12 man incursion fleet but never got to try it because of the multi-boxing controversy and certain aspects of isboxer being banned I decided it wasn't worth the isk and time so I sold the characters off.

With the magnitude of changes to manufacturing, research, wormholes and the introduction to citadels and the addition of skill injectors I found myself dumbfounded what to do that would make me want to play the game.

So, it brings me to this sad time that I will sell this character in hopes that it will continue on as a one of a kind character to a good owner.

Same k'man from CXI many years ago ??? reactivated my acc a few days ago if your the one and the same inbox me ingame with contact info before you sell, mate would be good to catch up some time. Sad to see the sale but needs must i guess.
