Alphas aren't un-playable, clearly!

There are merc corps in hi-sec complaining that alphas are too strong. There are carebears whining that alphas are threatening their freighters. There are null groups welcoming them with open arms.

I dislike the forced skill choices, but ineffective they are not.

They just need to lower costs and offer a one character or two character account since who uses three characters on one account.

Just upgrade to omega, train skills and extract them. No skill progression but you can play for free, or if you use +5 implants you will either get around 400k extra sp per month or ~400m extra isk, which ever you prefer.
