Trying to maximise my passive isk/ph.

Fairly new to the game but after a helping hand from a friend I was able to get into a basic incursion fit and start earning isk, which was great! It's allowed me to buy a better ship, earn more per hour and even inject skills into my would be alt.

However, my play time is limited primarily to weekends so I've been trying to find out the ways people have of making passive isk.

So far i've used my two spare account slots to make two PI/Hauler alts and I've been thinking of making them into SP farmers, thoguh I still don't full understand how it works.

Having looked Eve Mogul exchange page regarding the profit margin, it's about 370m/per month?

Anyway! Are there any other passive ways to make isk?

Making the two spare characters into SP farms doesn't work. You can only train one character per account, unless you pay for multi-character training, and paying for that will cost far more than can be generated by selling skill injectors.

Really? So why is it a thing?

I mean people are cleary doing it so I understand why they'd do it at a loss?

A lot of players have their characters maxed out with the skills they actually use. ie; A combat character has no need for all the manufacturing skills etc.

So they train purely to extract the skills, since they are going to be paying a subscription anyway.

SP farming currently makes money. with +3 implants and maxed attributes you generate 3.6 skill injectors/month, which would make 475mil/month at current prices.

trading is pretty good, prices cycle up and down slightly through the week, if you can put up some big buy orders at the low points and sell at the high you can make a lot of isk for almost no time involved, however this can be a long slow game. you can speed it up by updating orders more frequently, or moving to other trade hubs where there is less competition.

PI sounds like it works, I don't know any details though.

SP farming is okay - I'd advise alternate accounts for it, provided you have the cash to keep the accounts Omega (be it in game or otherwise) - but passive ISK is really a joke. There is nothing that doesn't require work - SP farming excluded, as all you got to do is sit in station with +5 implants.

They don't do it at a loss.
They do it on the main character on the account, extract all skills that the character trains each month. Net result is that the character trains no further, but there's a point you reach when characters don't need any more skills and so extracting all is OK.

Of course, this isn't a good idea on a fairly new character that still has lots to train.

As a general rule, skill point farming characters need to be the 'main' character on the account. PI farming characters can happily be 2nd/3rd characters on an account.

So an ideal money making account would be a skill farming main with PI skills, plus two more PI characters. Of course, there is a time and ISK cost to getting this set up, but you'll turn a tidy profit from that once everything is running smoothly.

I'd add a semi-passive station trader to go along with the PI for one of the toons.

Log in 1-2 times a day. Set orders up to be the highest/lowest prices, log off.

Good info, thanks. I've trained one PI alt and the second is almost done. I'll take a look at station trading

Training rate: 2700 SP/hour (two +5 implants)
PLEX cost = 1.29 billion ISK
Extractor Cost = 268,500,200.00
Injector Cost = 672,490,991.96 ISK

Injectors Per Month = 30d * 24h * 2,700sph / 500,000sp = 3.888 Injectors Per Month

Profit per Month = Injectors Per Month * (Injector Cost - Extractor Cost) - PLEX Cost = 280,716,199.14 ISK

This does not include additional costs of transaction tax and broker fees!

cripes, plex took a ~100m jump over the last few days. I'd expect the price of injectors to rise soon.
