Dear Pilots,

Incursions were amazing while they lasted and magnified the appreciation have for Eve Online. Unlike 0.0 people I have a job that doesn't allow me to log in 24/7 to the game. As a casual gamer Incursions allowed me to earn enough isk for day to day activities.

I am hereby canceling my account.

I implore you do the same so CCP will listen and ban Griefing.

I made the move into nullsec last year, after having been a fulltime incursion pilot. Incursions are fantastic way of showing highsec players the basics of good large fleet command/slang/how its done.

The incursion community has evolved into a more snobbish bunch than it was when i got into it, I hear tales of entire fleets of multi billion isk fits raping sites and leaving the GM super alive so they can just print money.

I think the efforts of others to kill your stupidly expensive hulls are fantastic, this is eve after all, if you start to climb up in anything, others will be ready to pull you down, this game is the most hardcore, adrenalin rush, tear feeding game on the market.

OP you are looking at this game all wrong, by choosing to live and operate in highsec, not in a strong community of players, you have chosen the life of a victim in waiting, hence your eve experiance is one of toil, scam and greifing.

Like others have said, 0.0 is not inhabited 100% by the worlds unemployed, so many players put in around 2hours per 24 if even that and do fine.

Think real hard about giving null a go, and suddenly being amazed at how wrong the 0.0 myth is.

@OP and incursioners: I don't get it.

The point of any high-level mission / incursion / anom is to get a fleet together and complete the site as soon as possible, so you can get your payout as soon as possible. What's changed?

Just because someone else comes along and kills the final ship (supercarrier?), how does that affect you?

You get paid (as the mission designer intended), sooner, with less effort on your part - how could you possibly complain about that?

This signature intentionally left blank for you to fill in at your leisure.

Oh noes!

A throwaway alt in a noobcorp is cancelling his account?

I would say "Can I have your stuff" but I really don't want a noobship, civilian miner, civilian blaster, and one tritanium.

This is not monocle-gate, this is people who are tired of the rivers of danger free isk flowing out of highsec.

You want to live in the padded play pen fine, but your income will be adjusted accordingly.

I honestly think PoCo based sov is a good idea https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1417544

I don't think they should respawn that would be the fix just like missions.

You're all wrong, no one plays EVE 24/7. 23.5/7 max

EDIT: Unless downtime is quick

I will say this and a long list of other things 0.0's been complaining about for the past year and the overwhelmingly negative nature this community has taken is making me strongly considering taking a leave of absence for awhile, till some of this stuff blows over. I'm hoping once 2012 ends people will realize the world isnt ending so they dont have to be complete dicks all the time.

I don't care much whether or not the null alliances kill the mom and end the incursion?

Why?

I've ran incursions for a little while now. I'm not big on running with most incursion fleets from any of the public channels. Most of the people on there really should just quit life... They're so annoying, terrible, and nerd-ragetastic that I've considered going into null and risking my T3 instead of flying with them.

FYI, before you say "Then why haven't you done it yet?", It's because I haven't really played in a few weeks.

I think the real issue here is that missions are generally single person deals. We've finally have a cooperative group high sec activity around which high sec communities are forming. Now 0.0 players are coming, trying to destroy that community and whining about the amount of isk being made. The last bit has some truth (the incursions community would be better off in the long run if the harder sites offered greater reward, requiring greater organization on the part of incursion runners). By publicaly acknowledging an imbalance CCP gave the green light for griefing.

What this comes down to is 0.0 players insisting that nobody else in the game can have a profitable community. People are logging on to spend a night "raiding" with their friends and finding that their plans have been cancelled. This is what is leading to the rage around incursion griefing. (It also means that CCP has created a bit of a monster with incursions. Think what would happen in WoW if their was one NPC you could kill to shut down all raid dungeons for a night.)

Ya another idiot who insists everyone de-activates their account because HE doesn't like the game any more.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Funny, the 'griefers' have to create their own fail threads now, claiming to be incursion pilots.

....as if 10,058 Goon voices cried out and were suddenly silenced.

This is not about this group vs. that other group (and as mentioned, many incursion runners are 0.0 alts). Its about risk vs. reward, and in the greater picture, economy balance.

You are right about the monster thing. Once you've given people something with much better risk/reward than lvl4 missions, you can hardly take it away without pissing off a lot of people feeling entitled to it.

0.0 is fun particularly right now that pretty much every power block in the game is at each other's throats. There is certainly no lack of things to do.

I am married with 2 kids and a full time job, I ceo a nullsec corp. Clearly I dont play 24/7. My corp is a pvp corp so we dont actually spend that much time doing pve. I pay for both my accounts using isk for plex, this isk is gained in the small time I do pve. All my pve is done in nullsec in regular anomolies.

You are crying about not having a massivly fat wallet income at zero to little risk and saying you dont get enough time to pve like the majority of people do, so you need the 100mill an hour hisec incursions or you cant play. TBH I hope you do unsubscribe you space gold greedy git.

People like you are the problem. Thinking that being a CEO of a small corp in 0.0 and believing you are successful. You are content to live under a guy with more balls that throws little scraps at you, and you smile, give thanks and eat the leftovers that 0.0 has to offer. If you are in 0.0 and claim to be well off why do you care what people do in high sector. In 0.0 you make your own space and imaginary rules and order.

Once you loose your space and end up in high sector you will care.

I run a hundred man corp, its nice and successful within an alliance that gives everything it makes back to the corporations within it. My corp has an income of around 5 to 7 billion isk a month which we then use on our corp members, nothign is used to make the leaders get fat out here like you hisec dwellers believe. I take nothing from what my corp makes.

Your ridiculous anger is exactly WHY people do what they do to you, Eve is pvp, what these people are doing IS pvp not griefing, they are attacking somethign they disagree with, just like how an alliance in nullsec can be destroyed by its enemies in the same way, it isnt griefing, just because you are in hisec and dont want them to disturb you, it doesnt make it griefing, it makes it pvp.

And as for losing space in nullsec, yes we can lose our space, alliances ive been in have lost space plenty of times, but instead of crying, or asking ccp to stop the nasty bad guys who dont like us, we go back to war and take new space, we dont slink off to empire and cry about it while getting fat off stupidly easy isk that is made by abusing teh incursion system.

Incursions were not meant to be farmed in such a way, so yes I would imagine they probably would like to see it stopped, and if its stopped by players then even better. Go cry in another game fool.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
