Ran across the weidest of objects in a Relic Site

Hi all,

This morning warped to a WH Relic site, and when I entered the site I heard a very weird pulsing noise, like that of a WH but quite not the same. As I flew towards the remains and ruins I suddenly saw another ship!!! The same as mine, as I looked closely it turned out to be a reflection of my own ship, in a GIGANTIC rectangle block about 6km long and 200 meters deep. It reflected the light from all sides and was round around the edges. I took pictures which I can upload if needed. Stupid thing is that activity on my D-scan forced me to abandon the site. However, it was clasified as a structure, and the description said something like: "this structure contains many stars" STARS!!!???

Does anyone of you know what it might have been?

Kind regards.

Grous

The structure you have encountered refers to Monolith

It did make me think of 2001 space odyssey. But is it an easter egg, or did I miss something big here?! Shocked

The original (real?) one is in Dead End.

It's a 2001: Space Odyssey Easter egg. (I've never seen the movie) I'm pretty sure there's an Eve Online Chronicle write-up out there somewhere too.

So many people don't think to stop by the Monolith while they take the pilgrimage to the EVE Gate. It's only like two jumps apart. Smile

There's tons of them, you can even get to a static one placed in LowSec near the EVEGate. Just travel down that chain of systems, the monolith is placed in one of the systems close to the EVEGate.

How can you play EVE and not have seen 2001? Have you at least read the book?

It is a MUST read or see if you are any kind of space sci-fi fan.

Just like the SyFy show "The Expanse" is another good EVE like show.
