First and foremost, some (not all yet) meta modules have been rebalanced and are actually quite useful and there is and should be no shame in using them.

It doesn't have to be tech 2 all the time and even if I don't like shield setups on an armor boat, none of the modules you have there are "bad" ones.

My advice, ditch the mwd for an afterburner (prop mods have been rebalanced and are all useful now) and this looks very forgiving for beginners.

Just make sure you don't launch your drones on Thursdays and Saturdays.

If some NPCs make you trouble at close range, fit small blasters instead of drone links, thank me later.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

lmao! LolLol

fit afterburn! 10mn or 100mn(100 way better)
2 medium core defense field purger INSTEAD of shield extenders for rigs
if you are low on cap switch drone navigation computer with cap recharger

this fit is made to kite... so... KITE!

edit: learn to use pyfa (just a suggestion), and fit a cyno in the highs if your alliance/corp has a standing fleet ready :)
content is content! i would drop an entire fleet to save an alpha bro and his vexor! LEGIT Cool

thanks for your help elitatwo and Soel Reit .
the only reason im looking for a better fit is cuz sometime i go into a Herd anomaly and i dont have to go get repairs before im done and other times i have to go two or three times before its done.

yea it's normal!

just a little patience until you can plex the account, then you'll be able to fly ishtar etc, and t2 mods etc
and you'll be able to clear sites faster and without having to warp out ;)

have fun m8!

Personally I think you have 2 options really.

One would be to go 100MN and the other 10MN.

10MN allows for more fitting more and much better Cap so you can fit more tank (drop drone Nav for an Invul or Extra Extender maybe) and you can drop the Flux coil (FYI a cap relay is better if you are not using a booster) for more drone damage or a Drone Enhancer.

100MN means you are not cap stable (Alphas do not get a lot of the skills required to make 100MN ABs work really well, IE max Alpha uses 26.4C/S vs All 5s using 10.7) but your speed is way higher and as such you will gain a huge amount of extra practical tank.

Also I'm not sure why but no one seems to have pointed out that your MWD is the wrong size (5MN Frig/Dessie, 50MN Cruiser/BC and 500MN for BS. )

yea i missed that detail too :)

also:
- pass to a Vexor Navy Issues ASAP, more tank/1 more low slot (worth the price, even alphas can fly it)
- learn what kind of NPC do what kind of damage http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/NPC_Damage_Types
- set up your tank based on that specific type of NPC

4 ways you can configure a ratting VNI/vexor:

passive shield regen (like the one you posted)
active shield regen
active armor
sniping VNI with sentries warping at 100km of the anom

these are the fits i can think of. i won't steal you the fun to setting up each fit!
load pyfa and have some "nerd" fun.

also join a corp or alliance that can teach you the basis, giving you fits etc, teaching you HOW TO, bookmarks etc
bla bla bla bla

cheers Cool

Remember that alphas cam use navy drones. The extra flight speed, ehp, and damage is well worth it.

my other nano is a polycarb

speed tanking is a thing bro!
go and read :)

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Tanking

check even how chance to hit works
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Turret_damage

and how missiles damage works
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Missile_damage

that said you can EASILY deduce how speed tank works Cool
aka high speed low sig radius= gg
