Not sure if this is exactly the right forum to post this thread in, but I figure it does relate to ships so it's not a complete red herring.

So a very long time ago, this char had a Providence freighter. Note that this guy does not currently have a Providence, but in the past I flew one on this guy doing trade runs and other boring Freighter crap. Now, in the winter of 2012 I sold the freighter and took a couple year hiatus from New Eden (how time flies) but now I'm back and I see that the skill requirements for Freighters have been changed. Will this char be "grandfathered" in to the new Freighter requirements, since at one point I owned and flew one, or will I need to spend a month getting my Advanced Spaceship Command to V?

The usual rule is "If you could fly it before, you can fly it now". As long as you have the freighter skill trained, which you always needed to fly one, you should still be able to board and fly one.

If you have Amarr Freighter trained to any level, congratulations, you can fly a Providence. No need to train the new prereqs.
