The Pacifier, Enforcer, and Marshal would be the sort of things a Mystery Code holder should get ... hint, hint Blink

And?
If someone spent the money to buy them they should be entitled to them. Of course he would also have to have attached those codes to an in game account to be able to get any items.

He's still not allowed to sell them outside the client, or run any kind of gambling deal or such for people to get them, which makes it very very hard to use them for any kind of promo for people to buy from him without then breaking CCP's use rules.

The Mistery Code followed the same road as the Fiction Portal that was to susbitute the Chronicles removed along with the EVEwiki.

It seams like if no one mentions the mystery code for a week, CCP immediately forgets about it.

For the second decade anniversary collectors edition (when EVE turned 10), one of the developers at CCP at the time, designed a mystery code that gets activated on your account and there were expectations created that it would give people access to exclusive content/early release items/whatever extra gifts at different times throughout the year.

This however was not integrated into CCP's business systems. It was a bit of a one off design and the developer then left CCP. When that happened, no one at CCP had responsibility for following through. Community complaints began and eventually CCP Falcon's team took responsibility for it.

The community never forgets the original commitment by CCP and there were several people that forked out for the Anniversay edition primarily because of the mystery code.

In the end, a bit too much hype and not enough planning. A bit of an over promise, under deliver sort of thing, at least from the community's perspective.
