Which ship is optimal for farming DED complexes in low sec and in high sec? I would like something cloaky but it's only my preference. I think at rattlesnake or..?

You need to make some choices. As is, there is no answer to your question.

  1. High or low? Battleships can't even get in to 4/10s or lower, so a Rattlesnake is prima facie not the right answer for you. Because only 4/10s and below naturally spawn in high sec.
  2. Which rats are set of rats? Recommendations are going to vary quite a bit based on this parameter, especially if you're looking to run 5-6/10s in low.
  3. Do you have a second account to scan? Scanning with an unbonused hull is annoying but it can be done. Gimps your fit though.
  4. Do you have a second account to scout? Likewise, flying a battleships unscouted through low.... This is bad.
  5. What's your budget?
  6. What ships can you fly well?

1 - low

2- preferably angel / serpentis npc's

3 & 4- no, I have only one account

5- maximum 1 bil

6- minmatar and galente ( mostly minmatar)

Well, for Minmatar my first choice for pure solo exploration in low would be a Sleipnir fit something along these lines:

[Sleipnir, exploration]

Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Tracking Enhancer II

50MN Microwarpdrive II
Pithum C-Type Medium Shield Booster
Shield Boost Amplifier II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Pithum C-Type Explosive Deflection Amplifier

Improved Cloaking Device II
Sisters Core Probe Launcher, Sisters Core Scanner Probe
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M

Medium Gravity Capacitor Upgrade II
Medium Projectile Locus Coordinator I

Probes should be good enough to pin 6/10s with good skills. Tank and damage is obviously set for Angels. Same principles hold for Serpentis; swap the hardeners (or drop the invuln and do two passives; C-types are cheap) and swap to phased plasma. Carry some ranged ammo to snipe the 5/10 overseers. Whole fit comes in under 450mil. MWD+cloak trick should work wonders for travel even if it nukes your scan res. You may want to consider a depot to store the cloak; possibly keep some mid slot scan mods in there for travel as well just to make life a little easier. However, you don't *have* to have a depot for this fit, which is great.

Oh, and before you ask, why not ACs? Because ammo and range. ACs chew through ammo and your cargo is limited. If you want any sort of extended deployment you need to deal more damage per shot than ACs can provide. Furthermore, even with the massive falloff bonus they really don't reach out far enough to be comfortable in 5/10s.

Another depot-dependent option is the Typhoon fit something like this:

[Typhoon, explo]

Large Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Imperial Navy Armor Explosive Hardener
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

500MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive
Large Micro Jump Drive
Large Compact Pb-Acid Cap Battery
Missile Guidance Computer II, Missile Precision Script
Missile Guidance Computer II, Missile Precision Script

Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Nova Cruise Missile
Improved Cloaking Device II

Large Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Large Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I

Sisters Core Probe Launcher x1
Sisters Core Scanner Probe x16

Obviously you need the depot to swap out the probes for your last launcher, etc. Works better with a probing account but can be made to work here.

For Gallente: Ishtar. Just look up a fit. They're pretty cookie cutter. More or less entirely depends on sentry drones so if you haven't skilled them don't bother.

If you were to look more at Sansha and BR sites, Andrew Indy has often proposed a Muninn like so:

[Muninn, Indy Sansha cheap]

Medium Armor Repairer II
True Sansha Armor Thermal Hardener
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Drone Damage Amplifier II

10MN Afterburner II
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script

720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
Improved Cloaking Device II
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Projectile Burst Aerator II

Hobgoblin II x5

Or an expensive version like so:

[Muninn, Indy Sansha expensive]

Corpum A-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Corpus X-Type Armor EM Hardener
Corpus X-Type Armor Thermal Hardener
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II

10MN Afterburner II
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Thukker Medium Cap Battery

720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
Improved Cloaking Device II
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet EMP M

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Projectile Burst Aerator II

Hobgoblin II x5

Either way I think I'd prefer a Sleipnir, but I recognize that's kind of skill intensive.

Thank you!

A loki with subs at level 4 or vagabond would work efficiently? Typhoon works well with torpedoes launcher II?

Oh, the Loki. Sleipnir does it better, pretty much hands down, but if you feel like going crazy with it:

[Loki, exploration armor]

Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Corpum B-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Corpum A-Type Energized Explosive Membrane
Corpum A-Type Energized Kinetic Membrane

10MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II
Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery

720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Republic Fleet Fusion M

Medium Nanobot Accelerator II
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump II
Medium Anti-Explosive Pump II

Loki Defensive - Adaptive Augmenter
Loki Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Loki Engineering - Power Core Multiplier
Loki Offensive - Turret Concurrence Registry
Loki Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst

Fitting is... tight would be an understatement. But it's cap stable? I guess?

As for a torp phoon? No. You just don't get enough application to make it worthwhile even with max skills. Just go with cruise and use the range to help with tank.

Gila for highsec and Stratios for lowsec or just Stratios all the way. Use Warden sentry drones from very far away and make Serpentis regret their ways.
Use bouncer sentry drones to make the angel cartel regret their ways.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

I know its not exactly within the OPs requirements but if you are going to use a T3 (anything other than Sansha/Blood) the Tengu is pretty much king.

Also might be worth while considering a Rail Proteus. You can happily get 780DPS with a 6 Gun 250mm fit and you could have scanning refit.
