Sorry, but this is quite possibly the worst ship redesign that you guys have come up with. While I appreciate that time and effort has gone into this, you should really scrap it and start fresh from the beginning.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Bring back the old model, the new model looks like a child's toy infantile.

I have never made a forum post, but I must say this.. Please give this redesign another try. The Chimera is one of my favorite ships and I really want it to look more awesome.

they took a powerful looking ship and made it look awkward and fragile

Edit
I was kinda hoping at least they would have up sized it so that it felt like a capital all the carriers and super carriers are just so small

Im not a fan either. What threw me off the most was that the chimera and cormorant/flycatcher which got redesigned in the same patch look completely different. I believe the chimera simply looks like a bunch of rectangles where as the cormorant and flycatcher still look slick while using other geometrical shapes.

Why anyone would want to redesign the Chimera to look like a Rokh is beyond me.

So, am I the only one who like the new hull? Sad Large shield emitters on sides and bow huge as cathedral.

Capital ships needs to be larger btw. We have 400m T3Ds now.

You're definately in the minority. No, we don't need larger ships. We need to scale the T3Ds and some of the battleships down in size.

We need smaller subcaps and larger capitals.

New chimera model looks like a ... BRICK...
In compare of other ships which been redesigned (in example cormorant which is AWESOME);

Chimera looks ugly,
Made from few bricks puts together and cuts in some random spots to "does look" as a ship....
Worse is... no one even asked if we like it or not...

Performance before looking. That's Caldari.
Did you see Moa or blackbird before changes? That was flying bricks.

New cormorant looks good, but it's clearly taken from new Dreadnought game. Keep EvE as it is. Unique.

And stop redesign caldari hulls, we have enough, switch to gallente, imicus is waiting.

Chimera was a water freighter at the beginning of its history and there are no place for water tanks in this new model. Worst redesign i think.

Not a fan of the new Chimera. It's style is similar to the Jackdaw - which is another fugly ship. The current Chimera is currently the best looking carrier (imo), and whilst I'd love to see it overhauled I'd much rather see an iterated design on it (think old to new Maller) rather than something completely new and different. This new Chimera model looks more like an evolution from the Rokh...

The new Cormorant model looks better, but it doesn't look very Caldari. WTB more Caldari ships along the style of the Tengu, Drake, Caracal and the Corax.

New Chimera model looks like drilling platform ..the One which did not make it to final stage and CCP decided they can put it to good use as carrier .This masterpiece of space industry will no doubt make Caldari Great again,or at least inherit the old Moa fame ...teh Jewel of State military !

did you see the old design? that one looked strong and mighty. the thing looked like it was built to fight rather than look pretty.

nah carriers could be a bit bigger to fall in line with the other capitals but i agree i would rather see more ships scaled down than making the big ones bigger.

i do love how the carrier has all the little "ships" like citadels to give it "scale" its a "big busy ship" after all needs all those maintenance drones and the like keeping it ship shape. so does that mean the mac and other BBs also need these.... Or actually shouldn't they need them even more?

flavor wise it makes sense for it to have a slender/frail appearance, as caldari ships have garbage armor and hull, as well as weak sub-warp engines. They prefer to be slow shield behemoths which would lend itself to less mass as less physical materials are used on the exterior. My 2 cents.

The redesign still sucks. But hey, I don't fly one and have to look at it everyday...
