(Can I use) Aura Voice samples for original song?

Hi,
I hope I'm writing in the right part of the forum; and if not, please point me to the correct place.

I have a track(/song) that I'm working on where the melody, etc. is based off of how I felt when I played EVE (flying through space, etc). I was wondering if I could use Aura's voice freely? Or do I need to make my own recordings to gain commercial rights? Cool

Thanks

Update; I've decided to include a link to the track/song in question: https://soundcloud.com/fexell/engage-eve-version/s-2meQA
For now it's a private link - it's for reference only. But would something like this be okay?

If you don't want to spend time to listen through the entire track, the samples can be heard from following points in the song, and saying the following:

0:46-0:48 - "Autopilot Engaged"
1:10-1:12 - "Autopilot Disabled"
3:22-3:24 - "Autopilot Engaged"

Hi Din, if you read any of the disclaimers scattered around the EVE-based websites, blogs, and what-not, you'll see that CCP hf owns everything to do with EVE Online. That includes Caroline's voice acting samples and even (probably) the precise form of the words themselves.

If you intend your song to be released on a commercial basis (however you define it), you'll likely aggravate those good folks at the office.

Don't wait for a space-lawyer on the forums to give you dodgy advice (I'm just using what I deem to be common sense), submit a ticket, or whatever it is people do when they want to talk to CCP.

I've done loads of stuff - audio, and now a bit of video, all linked to EVE Online, but I haven't used any samples - just images and video capture.

If it's commercial, CCP will definitely want to know.

Ok, I've had a listen - and I like it!

More to the point though, my original thought still stands. How do you intend to use the piece? If it's just for the community, or your (many!) followers on SoundCloud, I really don't see a problem. But if you intend to take advantage of any monetisation features, well, I don't know...

O, and I'm sure you could do the vocal yourself. Maybe invent some new stuff: 'Approaching Station', 'Warping to Stargate' , 'Gate-Camp Evasion Protocol Active' - I'm sure you could do better word-wise.

As for the voice, it sounds as if you have some gear there; if you don't suffer from mic-aversion, give it a go! Just use your normal voice - don't try to sound like Aura (good as she is), just practice until it sounds reasonable. There's a lot of stuff going on in the background, so where you place it in the mix could easily disguise any minor glitches left after editing.

Good Luck!

Thank you for taking your time to answer me,
I do agree it would be the best course of action just to either record the words myself or just leave it out for commercial use. I'd just prefer to use Aura's voice since the melody is inspired from EVE and it would sound more "fitting" to use her voice. The reason for asking for commerical rights, is so I can release it on Spotify, iTunes, etc without having anyone angry at me. I don't really care if it would make money or not, just want to get it out to those platforms.
I tried searching (Google) for things like "EVE Online Aura commercial free" and other terms like it, but I just couldn't find anything.

I can provide the track copyright free to the EVE community and CCP themselves, if interest is there. It would feel more like an honor if people wanna listen, use or do whatever they want with it. For now I'll just make the version on Soundcloud downloadable.

I'm just going to take your advise, but release one version without Aura's voice so I can release it to payed services.

Once again; I thank you for taking your time to answer my question. Have an awesome time flying in space o7
