It would be cool, and perhaps easy to have your pod revert to the last name you gave it each time you eject from a ship instead of having to change it from "(x)'s capsule" every time.

This would basically just take up database space and add load for no reason.

As much as I understand pods are being generated when we leave a ship for any reason. It's a new object each time, this is why it can't save names or applied skins.
I think this could be solved if we would add a few more lines to the character profile: pod name and used skin. These wouldn't be visible for players, but each time a new pod is generated the game would check these 2 lines, and give the new pod the properties that were saved from the last one.

If you want an intelligent argument, please do, I'm up for it!

But if you want a trolling contest, I will win it by simply not participating.

You do understand every time you leave your ship a new pod is generated right? This seems time consuming and far more resource intensive than it's worth

When I end up in a pod. It's generally because something has gone wrong. And I'm gonna be hitting warp as quickly as I can. Renaming my pod is not generally something I care about. And if I did... I can always do that in warp
