The launcher got stuck and unable to start the game.

No repair options was avaible, i manually downloaded the repair tool i found in a support thread. Didn't work.

This was bullshit. Not a button required for checking launcher integrity and then checking game files i just had to download the entire game again (that's 15GB btw).

Really?.
REALLY?.

I mean... Maybe im spoiled but isn't hash checking and replacing files not checking out pretty simple?
i know programmers hate that sentence and for good reason.

But seriously, a full installation download because a file didn't want to work is stupid.....

Please tell me if im wrong, if theres another way to do it, i missed something of if the feature to not download the entire game becayse of a single file not working is comming.


TL:DR
1.Why isn't the game self-checking gamefiles
2.Are there any plans for self-checking gamefiles?

E menu, Shared Cache..., Verify

This process is done automatically on launcher startup every two weeks.

I have a similar problem except when i click on shared cache and it gets to 100% i am unable to click verify/ the verify button is blacked out, spent around 8 hours today re-installing trying to play since i just upgraded from alpha and it all reminds me why I vowed to not return to the game. FFS, this is the only game i have problems going from launcher to client [StraightStraightStraightStraightStraightStraight

After a few months without too many horrible launcher problems (finally), logged on because of a rage ping for a hostile super tackled to get the worthless "Verifying the contents of the shared cache and purging extra files." that completely broke my client 6 months ago.

Due to rage ping, I hit the "cancel" button (last time this **** broke, CCP said we can just cancel it). After canceling, now my EVE clients will not launch. Instead of going to character select screen, I just get stuck on "acquiring bulk data..." forever.

Went in to verify as suggested, and the damn button is greyed out. Tried to clear cache, nothing. Ran the ResCache.exe suggested in another thread, and now the game wants to download 9 gigs. Who knows if that's even going to work.

Thanks, CCP, for having such a **** launcher that I can't even play the game during important pings. I have NEVER seen a game where the damn launcher constantly stops me from even logging in.

...and it's not just me. Practically everyone I knew hates this stupid launcher, and I've had nonstop problems with it from 3 different PCs. If you're gonna take away exefile, then fix your garbage.
