Graphics Card for 1920x1080

Just curious if anyone knows what the bare minimum is for having everything maxed out at 1920x1080? Only a single monitor, just aiming for 60fps, only other game I play regularly is CS so wasting money on a 1080 or whatever seems... a waste.

Got my eye on a 470 8gb for the moment, would that suffice to elevate me out of potato and into the promised land?

I have a single GTX 970 and it is complete and total overkill. I am able to dual box level 4s, pvp, mining - whatever I wanna do - with everything on ultra and completely maxed out at 1080p. And honestly you can get a GTX 970 for dirt cheap these days - less than 300 bucks total. You may even be able to get away with a 950ti, but, I have no experience with that so the GTX970 is where I would recommend starting. All depends on your budget.

RX 470 would be a crazy card for this game only, even my old card ran it more than satisfactorily with everything maxed. That said, got myself the MSI GTX 1050 Ti (4Gb) when my PNY GTX 560 Ti broke itself after five years of faithful service, and even this is absolute overkill.

Pros I'd give it:
-Really silent, the MSI one wont start fans before 63C and even then it is really quiet and so far the hottest I've got this card is 66C, playing Overwatch on Ultra settings
-Uses less power than either 970 or RX 470, the vanilla version could work just from the PCI-E slot, this one needs a 6-pin from PSU
-Cheaper than 970 or 470

Cons:
-Performance wise it is slightly poorer than either 970 or 470, but overall I've found this an amazing card for its value (depends where you buy it, ($170-210) and honestly on my old ass rig this pretty much the upper limit of what was reasonable to get.

Good to know I can stick to the 75w stuff. Be waiting a few months for the new CPU anyways, maybe the 560 will be out too Smile

Thanks all.
