A funny thing happened to me on the way to a war.

Yes, it is not my habit to air my thoughts in public, but today I received the most remarkable message!

It is no secret that I was and perhaps am close to Sanxing's leadership. So when what happened happened, the way it happened, I was understandably upset and disappointed in equal measure.

Predictably I started doing what I usually do, being a humble trader and alone, plot. Yes, I have a reputation and it is true that I may orchestrate the occasional conflict. In that, however, my reputation exceeds my means. Being suspected of far more than I actually do. So I made some organizational changes and have prepared for the inevitable. I made the usual inquiries and bought the coming war, nothing fancy mind, just a little revenge.

Then after delightedly notifying Sanxing's leadership of my intentions I receive this... "As long as it's an effective distraction and not an act of revenge, good." Well, to be honest, I was flabbergasted! Of course, it is revenge, whyever would it not be. I expected them to be happy as well but... "As long as it's an effective distraction and not an act of revenge, good."

Now, what am I supposed to do with that?

Say nothing and carry on. A man of your standing could do a great deal of good when not held back by trying to keep your hands clean.

Why not politick your way out of this? Instigate a conflict, then grandstand about how this is a distraction all along and definitely not revenge yada yada yada. I thought you are a veteran of such a thing?

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

What exactly were you going to do in the first place? You said a lot of words but not a lot of ideas behind.
