Problem Using Implants

So I was away from EVE for a number of years. Just recently started up again.

Forgot about implants altogether till I started fooling around with an alt. (for the new player tutorial/experience).

So I went back to my main and noticed I had some unused implants that were upgrades...and one that I did not know what it was.

Preface... I had my 5 main slots filled with limited (+1s). One had a +2.

Cybernetics was at 2 (to trouble shoot raised it to 3)

I had these in my inventory:

Genolution 'Auroral' AU-79
Genolution Core Augmentation CA-1
Genolution Core Augmentation CA-2

I put in the Genolution 'Auroral' AU-79 no problem.
I then went to the CA-1... BUT the option did not come up to insert it.

I thought maybe I had to remove the implant in the current slot... (DO YOU have to remove before insert another in same slot or will the act of inserting simply destroy the previous implant as I figured?)

So I removed the Limited implant.
STILL no option to plug in the new implant.
Must have right clicked a thousand times. Logged in and out... still no option. Trained Cybernetics 3 just in case I was missing something.

Came back to it before going to sleep last night and the option was there so I plugged it in and went to bed chalking it up to a glitch.

But came back this morning to plug in my CA-2 and again...no option to plug it in.

What gives?

Just tried it. No dice.

Do you need to remove the implant you are replacing BEFORE you can plug in the new one?

Unplugged the one I wanted to replace... Still no option to plug in new one.

Followed advice to go in pod...undock...and re-dock... try again.

Worked this time around.

Is this a common problem?

Yes.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

It shouldn't be a problem it started recently its EVE trowing tantrum will be fixed eventually

Also you always need to remove old one 1st it will not do it automatically.
