Well, my mother is Caldari. I may get my taste in art from her...

So you like blocky sculptures that can be used as furniture or storage boxes?

I, too, have seen someone defecate onto a plate and call it art.

In the interests of religious outreach, I would loan out my collection of Blood Paintings from Blood Paintbrushes to this exhibition. I suggest that the Gallentean art students make their own contributions to this genre, perhaps employing poor immigrant Minmatar from Omega Cities that no one will miss as the tools. God will be glorified in their destruction. Amen. Amarr Victor.

Normally art makes me feel punchy. But this. I like this, speaks to me somehow

Yes, but only if they are brightly colored.

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.

Try harder. Think bigger.

I don't care what you think, as long as it's about me.

IMPORTANT UPDATE. PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE OPENING'S REVISED THEME, NEW DATE, NEW TIME, AND NEW LOCATION

The cluster is cordially invited to the opening of a collection of community-sponsored student artwork focusing on the profound and complicated relationship between the artistic treatment of capsuleer romance and being assaulted, demoralized, physically detonated, burnt, reduced to direst poverty, and subject to multiple legal suits. Works in a variety of media will be displayed in a new location more aesthetically suited to the subject matter and also still a building unlike the other one. Works will be available for purchase; interested buyers may contact the gallery directly, secure in the knowledge that the majority of the proceeds will go to reimbursing the artists for the loss of their original works and expenses pertaining to name changes and relocation. Light refreshments will be provided. Photography and recording are strictly prohibited.

Location: Bloc-a-Bloc (Bournyes VI, route rural 9, 78335 Bilette-891K) (basement) Event space is unheated, dress appropriately.
Date: March 12, 23:00-2:00 barring force majeure

Exhibit Header

Previews of artwork, images safe for public view:

and Sefrim Dripping Blood, on generous loan from the Nauplius "Blood Paintings from Blood Paintbrushes" collection.

We hope to see you there! Student artists remaining on-site will be available for interviews about this unique experience with capsuleer culture, either through anonymized videoconference feed or a paper bag mask with airholes cut in.

One of the Purposes of Art is to Provoke the Viewer of the Art.

Perhaps some of the Art was Too Effective.

Also, I do not Approve of Vandalism.

The lack of horses in this updated exhibit is disappointing.

This is not an art.

When you see a picture of a snowland forest so real that you can feel a chilling breeze on your skin, that's an art.
When you see a picture of an ocean so real that you can hear in your mind sound of waves hitting the shore, that's an art.
When you see a picture of approaching ship that is so real that you try to lean away, that's an art.
When you see a picture of a human so real that you want to say "Hello", that's an art.

What you have displayed, that was NOT an art. That was a waste of time and resources. And let it die in a fire. Please.

There's more art than just Realist art. Personally I think creativity and expression is more important than realism when it comes to art.

You can make a picture of snow forest that never grew, but existed only in your head. Or mountains with lakes from your dream. Green pastures and high trees... The key here is not realism, but QUALITY.
