I am no fan of the state, though it is in a much better place now than compared to a few years ago at least, but really...... let's stop lambasting them for actually being sensible here. Focus on the important issues, like who was bribed to look the other way so far that they didn't even notice an incursion into the pit.
No, I wouldn't have because it would have been then, someone else's fault. And for the entire history of this prion it had only ever been seen in Taisy. And the State allowed it to be stolen twice.

There is no "sensibility." Had they destroyed it we would have never seen it again. Instead it was the source for a plague.

But yes, lets focus instead on the weak willed and greedy Caldari who let themselves be bribed to look the other way when a super infection was taken from quarantine. A story of one greedy and idiot Caldari rather than many.

Because no Gallentean has ever been weak-willed, greedy, or susceptible to bribery. Also, WTB proof.

In general, I am not at all surprised that SoCT is getting even more heavily involved. I have been pointing a finger right at Postouvin as a suspicious system due to the lack of public record of any facilities there, let alone a significant mining and refinery station. Now they are anchoring some new Upwell structure? The plot thickens.

I think we should pay very close attention to what is going on in Postouvin.

Indeed so Mr Hipo. Even though I still find it rather less than reputable that you're corporation would rename one of your structures to the name of the locked down platform in question, it is of course, ultimately your organization's prerogative what you do.

Quite so it would seem. Let's see where things go.

UPDATE: Its a Keepstar

And of course they won't reveal its location or the location of this supposed Hemorphite processing facility until its finished. I'm wondering exactly how they are keeping it hidden. Does SoCT have some sort of 1000km radius AoE cloaking device they aren't telling anyone about? Even if they anchored a bunch of scan inhibitors, the inhibitors themselves would still be revealed.

Well... That's quite the development indeed. I doubt its a 1000km cloak Soldarius, more so I think they have some way of keeping the deep space navigational beacons that all citadels have built in standard from broadcasting that we do not.

Hiding things from capsuleer view isn't exactly difficult for people in the know. As has been said many times, it is actually rather impressive how completely we are cut off from most things that matter, so our violent tendencies tend to be taken out on each other or undesirables rather than the rest of New Eden. As long as we can't see their nav beacons and scan probes are overridden to ignore certain signatures, space is simply far too big to find something as relatively small as a Keepstar.

This Keepstar does seem to be a fairly interesting and admirable project, inviting the nations and independent capsuleers to contribute towards this situation. This 'inquest' may very well be the start of something... well, let's just stick with 'interesting' for now. As the cancerous growth called Arek'jalaan showed, the inclusion of all independent capsuleers tend to do nothing but ensure the worst scum of New Eden infests every corner of such endeavors and it doesn't seem like this'll prove different in that regard.

Anchoring a Keepstar in Solitude highsec though. Hmm.

Ah well, it's too far for me or mine to be much help or hindrance anyway. We'll just have to keep the Muttokon side of things handled and hope we aren't needed even there.
