At what price point (isk) do you stop buying PLEX and pay for your sub with cash?

whatever i can manage in a month, though if it gets to the point i cannot make enough isk to pay then i'll be dropping out as i can no longer afford to pay via cash. My RL expenses have doubled in the past few months and to add to that my work agreement is soon coming to an end and i'll soon be having to look for a new job. Got to love uncertainty lol

Well, I bought a PLEX for 490 mil today. Which will be my last one for now, my account runs out in 10 days and that will be that.
Reverse redeemed it so I can activate my account again, maybe, in the future.

While I'm uncomfortable with the current price of plex, I'm even more uncomfortable with the rage war from null against high sec as well as, I personally find negativity of the community becoming a major reason why I don't want to play after getting home from work, and why on weekends I kind of wish I could go into work.

I will probably sub another month on both my accts using plex and make a decision at the end of feb if i want to continue playing... at this point I will say I'm not paying $15 per acct per month to play a game that seems to be steering in the direction the CSM is trying to take it, where high sec is a baron waste land because you cant make enough money to do a damn thing in it.

The rise in the price of plex is probably due to more people playing the game since Crucible and recent MMORG voting with expectations for even more players. However, CCP isn't motivated to do anything about plex price instead favoring re-establishing subs by those who unsubbed because of last summer's PR fiasco. Individual RL plex prices being the most expensive form of funding game play, CCP may have a preference for them. But, if that were the case, I would expect them to put the brakes on current prices which they are not doing as the increased isk price certainly will impact in-game demand even while stimulating RL demand to purchase them for the exchange value. So, I have to favor the re-establishment of subscriptions theory.

Obviously, people are considering switching to sub payment as indicated in this thread. But, who really knows except CCP?

PLEX is a fantastic ISK sink that self adjusts to ISK inflow / outflow balance.

ATM they are expensive because of the Fanfest ticket thingy plus too much ISK being created and too little being destroyed.

If you look at the past years you'll see PLEX costed less even when population was bigger than today's so the cause of price rising is unlikely to be a lot about increased player base.

I would not exclude CCP became more lenient against bots as well, until paying playerbase is back over a certain thresold.

I'd buy PLEX if it dropped to about 100m maybe. Much better to just pay my $15 otherwise. (Of course there would be no supply left at that price. Big smile )

I was paying for my one account with RL money. Lately I started a second account, started whoring certain wealth-generation schemes, and now I suckle at the teat of RL douchebags playing Eve who want to pay to win.

Not spending bux on my favorite hobby: Priceless.

Before I became aware of the RMT-Whore master that PLEX really is, I saw it as a sponsorships system and paid through CC from the beginning. I would buy 2 PLEX if I haden't found the time to grind ISK and saw it as a couple of people getting to play EVE who wouldn't. A Russian rival or a blue in Norway, it didn't matter.

Now they are just an ingame market tool to make ISK.

Downside of being to young to legally work. And this winter has been a pain locally for my snow shoveling service.

I think he means :whatever the word is for something that increases isk velocity/circulation:.

Newbies, casuals, PvPers (who probably don't have much isk) can buy PLEX from CCP and sell it to the neckbeard brigade (who tend to have a lot of isk).

none as is easy to make ISK in EvE, there is ways that make you more ISK tat any incursion will ever do and that just beeng AFK not even on youre PC.

If one day i can't pay whith GTC to play i know i will not buy suscription.

I see this shady practice these PLEX holders are doing via market. I'm sure they're going to push it to 600m ISK. "and beyond!"

Stopped paying for PLEX when it was over 380m. Today it is edging near 500m. Screw buying PLEX with ISK if they're agenda is to make you pay twice as much ISK as you would for just one.

simply use your reserve PLEX or just switch to cash until the market is more rational.
