When, *exactly*, do broker's fees go through?

For anybody who hasn't noticed yet, the citadel "Perimeter - Planet X Trade Hub - Free" is occasionally jacking up their broker's fee to 40% for a few minutes at a time.

Well, okay, I think, I can deal with that. Make sure to look at the fee amount before hitting "OK" on the dialog boxes and you'll be good.

Except that I just looked at my journal, and there's a 25-million-isk broker fee from twelve minutes ago. The fee is not associated with a market escrow entry, as would happen if I had just entered a new buy order or increased the price on an existing order. In any case, I don't have either a buy or a sell order that updated twelve minutes ago.

Where could this fee be coming from?

No idea, but I played this new broker fee minigame Lol with "Planet X" a while this evening ... and whatever was displayed before I confirmed, was the amount charged to my wallet.

ofc, and this way you can RMT all the way you want. CCP should do something about it.

( if u wanna 'send' some isk to some random scrub in EVE, let him put citadel with market up somewhere, tell him to put some 50% broker fee, go to said citadel and place buy order :) something big and pay broker fee) This is prob easy to see for CCP, but if there is a legit market hub and imagine what could have been done with it ! :) I did and wow just wow :)

Someone in the scc lounge channel tested this in real time a few hours ago, and their finding was that the broker fee is finalized when you open the broker window.

As for RMT concerns - any scam is going to set off RMT alerts. If you scam someone for a large amount (5b+), it's probably a good idea to petition yourself so the GMs know you are being open and you earned your newfound wealth through legitimate, legal in-game means.
