I am in a combat site or in a Gala or DED, etc.
Then another player arrives and gives the pirates the last hit, winning all the loot

Problems
Lost fun, time, isk and loot.

Suggestions:
Make the bounties accessible to all who have participated not only to the last hit
Make the key pirate appear last as in the Gala
If the combat scales the two participants have access to the expedition

First off, these sites are competitive. The whole point of that competition is that the winner gains something over the loser.

Second, most sites do actually have the important rat spawn last, but not all because variety is useful for both fun and game balance. The ones that don't give you a choice between killing the easier rats and reducing DPS faster or going straight for the big pay-day but having to deal with more enemies and more DPS for longer.

Giving everyone who shoots a rat access to an escalation is just a terrible idea since it means if I warp in on someone who is clearly better fit and a better pilot than me, and is skilled enough to get the last hit, then I only need to shoot once to be able to chase their escalation down, both meaning they have to go do it *now* and giving me a potentially large payout for no risk, not to mention I now know where they and their ship are going to be.

Just no. Eve is competitive, you are going to lose, you are going to be punished for your mistakes. This is a core feature of Eve, it is not a problem, and it does not need fixing.

Sounds like you want loot to go to majority damage dealer.

Just NO ;) in high sec you cant compete.

Last week I was in a combat site and I only had one missile tower, a t3 comes and makes the last hit and thanks me for the expedition.
sometimes this guys are a little bit sticky and follow you.

i dont like to do that and cant do nothing too (in high sec)

Maybe something like being in a fleet so you can receive bounties and get access to wrecks

Eve is a PVP Distopia, everything is competition and you are in no way entitled to your loot until it is docked in a station.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

So steal it and run away.

Eve is a highly competitive game by design. Increase your chances by teaming up with others.

There is no gameplay issue with me stealing your stuff. Unless you're going to do something about it, you're prey until you decide to become a predator.

If you find that you personally can't compete then either play smarter, find friends, or both.

Other than that, game working as intended.

So hire mercenaries?

How expensive do you suppose that T3 is? "Better fit" in his case probably means "really painful to lose."

In terms of loot, it's not last hit. Ship wrecks go to whoever does the most damage (in the recent time period). Not to whom kills the 1 hull left at the end. Escalations I don't know if they go to the final wreck owner or not but hey *shrugs* win some lose some.

The fact that NPC's are so flimsy makes people believe it's last hit, so this would become clearer if they dramatically increases the EHP of the standard NPC's so that they were at least closer to player ships. (Currently they have about 1/10th the EHP of players when looking at things like standard BC's & BS)

When did they chance the mechanics so you can't loot the wreck when another player gets the last hit? I didn't realize they automatically won the loot.

Link me those changes in patch notes please.

d-scan while running the site and when you see that evil t3 at 2au, burn to the target that's going to drop the loot. Sit on it at 0 and loot it yourself if he pops it. (hint, he won't pop it if he sees you're paying attention). You ARE d-scanning for threats when running sites, aren't you?

And they only follow you if you

1. whine and rage in local about it
2. don't pay attention (see d-scanning above) and are an easy target.

What you're describing doesn't happen if you watch out for other players when PvEing.

Leave highsec --> shoot intruders in Lowsec/0.0 on sight.

Otherwise use a sebo/ fast ship or pvp fit and steal the loot.

DonĀ“t complain to CCP if your to slow to get your loot.

No, but due to the way CONCORD works, it would require cooperation with another player to take it from him.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."
