Polarised weapons come with the penalty of a zero resist lineup. I doubt these would be fitted to an incursion ship and I'd be surprised if they were fitted to a ratting setup either, especially short range weapons. They tend to be used for undefended structure bashes and ganking.

Or the buff to freighter EHP from the damage control rebalance, which they can't even fit; that occured immediately afterwards, which was specifically noted by CCP as designing ganking nerfs-buffs in pairs to keep it in balance.

But, selective memory and lots of rage about ganking is the Dracvlad way.

From the live streams I saw they were doing a pretty good job taking freighters out at a good clip...

TBH for CCP everything is great if you have to waste your ISK for something else than plex ;)

Poor Goons, they are trapped in there with all the scammers. We should organize a fleet to go and save them. No one deserves that kind of slow death.

However if you Goons are holding you own trapped in Jita, I'm with the person above. Can you please make "Burn Jita" permanent? My reason is the scammers. All trapped in there, wonderful! I'll donate to that cause if you can pull it off.

Sucks to be a freighter anywhere in Caldari high-sec space right now... And the scammers aren't 'trapped' unless they didn't consider establishing a jump clone outside of Jita. Either way, I have zero sympathy for them (that they have nothing to do this weekend and won't be scamming anyone).

There are also people using them in incursions and mission running, especially the pulse because scorch.

Missions and ratting I can see. Incursions - you have to have a pretty big pair to pull that off with Polarized weapons...

Some people use em to see big numbers on structure bashes at the end of one of the sites. There's no rats around at that point so you can drop a mobile depot, fit the guns, and shave a few seconds off the structure bash. Not really the most efficient thing though, considering the refitting timer. That's why most people don't do it.

I watched someone change ships with a cloaked Orca he kept at 90km. I thought it bizarre at the time but now not so much....
