best race combination for PvP

Hi,

which is considered the best race for PvP? i know this is a very tough/general question.
im asking because i decided that i want to go full PvP and it happens to have my gunnery skills and lasers to a most decent level than missiles etc.

i'm an Amarrian pilot and i like Amarr very much, i heard the combination of Pulse Lasers with Scorch is one of the best ways to PvP.
but i need some opinions about the other races as well. how they do to when it comes to PvP? i recently boost up some of my missiles skills just for PvEing lvl 4's but missiles seems not very good for PvP, so ill keep them just for this, PvE.
Minmatar seems to be interesting with projectiles weapon but i haven't touch on those yet, so i do not know very much about these tbh. How they do perform in PvP?

Early on it used to be very much racially bound to do PvP, and then as CCP would change things over time each race saw prominence, Now with the rebalance there are very effective ships within each race much more than in the past and its really about trying to flying and learning strengths, weaknesses and your own personal playstyle.

Amarr is great btw, but so are minnie, gallente and even caldari ships. So you are asking what bat you should use to hit the ball with. In the end its the one you use thatll hit you the most homers.

Have you heard anything I've said?

Also I would like to take a moment to commend ccp for the amazing work they did on the tiericide.

It doesn't seem like all that long ago that minmatar was winmatar and lol gallente and their useless drones.

No things aren't perfect, and there is still some more tweeking that could be done, but to balance 4 factions and hundreds of ships well enough that none of the races are completely **** or completely dominant and we see more ships than just rifters is a difficult task and they did a bang up job of it

A single ship being unbalanced for what... a year and a bit? Is still better than when entire races where made irrelevant, and when a single ship dominated a size class it was by the same margins that the Svipul dominated.

At least now, while you could probably point to a single ship in each class that is the 'best' a solid argument could be made for at least one or more others. When rifters ruled the skies, there was no argument about it (at least until the breached got buffed) and that lasted for years.

Caldari and Gallente both have ships with Hybrid bonus'. That would most likely also gel with some of the support skills for lasers.
Missiles and drones will be a matter of preference. Rapid launchers can be used in some ways.

Gallente and Caldari are definitely in very good spot. The droneboats are really versatile and Caldari rapid lights/heavy missile launchers are too darn good at what they do.

Minmatar is weird. On one hand, we have ships that are very good e.g. Breacher, Cyclone, Svipul, Typhoon, some that are decent such as the Rupture or the Slasher and some that are stinkers such as the Stabber. We are still the versatile race that can do armour or shield tanking, kite or brawl, etc, but we do not really dominate on that front anymore (full gank shield Thorax and kiter droneboats anyone?).

Amarr, as usual, have a couple kite ships but many many ships that can't track worth a damn at close range and rely on staying away, which they have a hard time doing due to, you know, slow as hell. They are still pretty darn amazing in gangs though.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

thanks for all the replies! i might stick to Amarr for the time being because i really like lasers and have already put enough skills to them. so i'll give a try to Amarr before i deicide which race i will train later.
