Run eve in windowed mode before running?

Is there any way of being able to open the eve client in windowed mode without having to change it on the in game settings first? my bro's monitor says unsupported mode when the game opens and we can't change the settings, its just a resolution isssue with his piece of crap screen, any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

Trade screens for a few minutes and do it maybe? Lots of TV's can plug in to computers now.
