Make skills "downloadable" from any station

Another mechanic that creates many frustrating situations without adding meaningful complexity or positive gameplay.

Having to travel 30+jumps in an interceptor so you can buy a skill, having to clonejump to highsec and be stuck there for 20 hours, or having to wait for somebody to bring you the skills from highsec with the next JF run, so you are able to actually play the game, is NOT "meaningful choice" nor "creating content"; it's only frustrating and un-fun.

Integrate the skill market straight in the Character Sheet. Add a "buy skill" button on every skill, and detract the amount of ISK from the wallet. Voilá, you've just fixed another "feature" apparently designed to kick the newbie in the teeth and burn out the veteran player. This kind of procedures create the "Eve Learning Cliff", not the complexity of the mechanics or the gameplay. Let's work to turn that cliff into a curve.

Does anybody even read these forums?

Where do I have to post suggestions to be actually read?

I read it i don't agree with you.

The meaningful part is that you chose to locate where skills are not seeded.

You did not plan ahead and bring them with you when you went wear the skills are not seeded.

You made choices.

Also read it.

It is not a new idea. And I do not agree with it.

Here's the thing; if needing to get skills and transporting them gets you out of a station and moving through space... that puts you at risk of player interaction.

So yeah, the act itself is not "meaningful" (much like the hauling profession in general)... but it puts you in a position where "meaningful" things can potentially happen.

I also do not agree with OP.

First of all, should have prepared when relocating to some remote area ... second of all, how hard is it to scan down some whs and use those to get your skills and whatnot?

As far as im aware they spawn everywhere so there is no excuse of not finding them. Sure, might be extremely unlucky and unable to find it right away but from my experience, whs are pretty easy to find so insted of the 30+ jumps you have to make you only need to make 1-4 jumps ... hard? hardly.

On the other hand, skill injectors and PLEX can be consumed remotely, which otherwise would create even more meaningful gameplay. Twisted

But I would rather like skill books become player made, which eliminates that problem.

I remember back in 2011 we have had 'library' in our 0.0-based corporation. This was a collection of skillbooks under 10Mil price freely available for any corporation member.

I have never heard about similar things since then.... Straight

I also do not agree. I think skills should be only available from the relevant factions and from resellers.
