Pinning items to specific inventories

Hello, I just bought my rorqual 5-6 days ago and was mining nonstop for long hours. What I found out is while I was picking all the junk from my mtu and putting them to my hangar every time I docked I also drag my mtu and mobile cargo back to my hangar. What if there was a feature called item pinning that locked the item to the specific hangar and didn't move with all the other items when u wanted to lose the junk stuff from your inventory. I believe this would be a very easy task. Please make it happen. Regards.

Hold control, click the MTU and MCB, Right click them and hit invert selection

Congratulations! Now CCP doesn't have to change anything

Okay how about there are more than 50 items u want to stay or you dont want to do invert selection every time?

Item filters, you can create a filter that excludes everything except the things you want to keep in your hangar. Don't have the UI in front of me at the moment but IIRC it's in the lower left corner of the inventory window or something like that.

the whole point of item pinning is its ease of use and how simple it is I don't want to waste time creating item filters for every occasion I don't know why you guys are so against about this idea it has no effect to anyone who doesn't want to use it nor it will complicate the game and further.

CCP's time is limited, so any particular feature that takes more than a small amount of time to implement (which this almost certainly would) takes away from other features and improvements.

It's also highly unlikely that any change like this would happen quickly even if CCP decided to put it on their list, so in the meantime we're pointing out other existing features you could use to get the same effect.

You also called out a specific case here, one where both filters and inverting item selection would work well to solve your issue.
