Why? We have thousands of star systems, it's our universe? Why not mix it up? Why is it always the same?

Why do we not have gates? Why do they not lock the second a pilot is through so he/she has that chance to finish it?
Why not have certain NPCS that drop the key to THAT complex?

Because the Serpentis event that tried to be more complex got a bunch of complaints from players, for one. Beyond that more complex events take longer to develop and for something that's not going to be going for very long it's not really worth the dev time. They could make it run longer or make it a permanent part of the game but then it loses the special feeling and doesn't serve the same purpose.

The Devils Cousin wrote:
Why are the rewards always the same, skins? Sorry but not all of us like "skins" or play at "customising" our ship skins before we undock!

Okay? Then you don't have to keep the SKINs or even do the event.

These events have been pretty popular with the playerbase as have the SKINs, so it's not like CCP are getting a ton of negative feedback against these sorts of events.

The Devils Cousin wrote:
These are Angel vessels, so why can't some drop Daredevil/Dramiel BPC 1 RUNS? Or when it's Serps why can't they drop Serp faction loot such as scrams/webs/weapons? Why "pretty" skins that 80% of Eve Online couldn't give a rat's ass about?

Because that would crash the market for these items by creating a glut of supply. Even with the very very limited faction item drop chances off the Serpentis SCOPE event the market for Gallente faction loot still dropped noticeably.

I have played this game since 03, I stream Eve, I have the largest collection of guides on Eve Online on YouTube, Not once do I care about bloody skins or making my ship look pretty, I play eve to play eve, not to check every ship and give it a damn paint job.

These events need to re-planned and shaken up so each one is different, because atm they are predictable and boring.

Not to mention to a new player they are wasting there time cause some dude/dudette in a Tengu will come steal the loot or try and blow them up.

These events are poorly thought out and need to be revamped. You can do better than this so please do better!

Good for you? Not everything CCP adds or does is going to appeal to everyone. If you don't like SKINs then don't use them, but considering that "I want ship painting!" literally got someone elected to the CSM I don't think you're going to find much traction complaining about CCP giving the things away...

As for the new player argument, these Skins are worth anywhere from around 5-10m all the way up to 100m or more. Even if a new player in a Cruiser gets 9 out of 10 sites stolen they're still going to make more off those sites then they will running level 2 or 3 missions or doing High Sec scan sites. If they group up then they can massively improve their odds of completing a site and getting the loot and even with a split among participants they'll make a good profit.

Some of us don't care about ISK and would like to have events that ANYONE can take part in without having to fight for the damn site!

This was, in fact, the primary and most vocal complaint with the Serpentis event, that there was little or no motivation towards player conflict and competition since anyone could scoop the can at the end without going flashy.

It's not that I think they can't or won't combine the two, but I do generally agree that the better part of the rewards should come from the site loot and not a site completion points system.

It sounds like what you want here is basically Level 4 Missions: The Limited Time Event which... does not sound appealing frankly.

Also, a reminder, nothing is ever going to appeal to *every* type of player.

Then maybe they should find a way to keep people from stealing their stuff. Welcome to EvE.

You say that when here you are, an older player getting stuff stolen by younger players. If you don't like things being stolen pvp fit your ship and make them give it back. Fly in groups and 2v1 the theif.

Don't want to pvp? Too bad.

Instead of waiting for CCP to point you in a "fun" direction or take part in some fakey sort of "event", whatever that is, why not just jump into null-sec with something toothsome and start ratting, mining, exploring or just hanging about. Sooner or later somebody will come along and maybe add some drama to your life. I don't worry about ISK per hour/day/week/month or ever, my missions are designed to get me in, do or take what I want then get out alive, and it don't always end like I want it. Of course, I spend a lot of time mining in order to replace what got shot up but that's part of the game. Or part of the game I play, anyway.

Acquire wreck ownership. Wait for high end PVPer to go suspect. Warp in all your alpha friends and smear his probably expensive ship all over the star system.

I liked the first event of that kind where you had chances of some other drop even up to plexes. I don´t know why ccp removed this but i´m sure they had their reasons.

A possible way would be to make 3 different sites 1 eaysi (up to bc enemies) 1 medium (up to BS inc t2 BC rats; possible faction rat spawn (very low)) 1 hard one (like 4-5 burner npc´s; this site should be rare; maybe a chance of a faction spawn afterwards).

The harder sites should have an increased drop an higher chances of a rare skin to drop.

Easy sites apear at 1.0 sec status of the system and below.
Medium sites apear at 0.6 sec status of the system and below.
Hard sites apear at 0.3 sec status and below.

This is... probably inaccurate, especially if you run your 10 man fleet correctly with T1 Logi cruisers.

Also most people aren't running around with a boosting ship to do these sites, that's an account that could be off somewhere else doing its own sites and making ISK/gathering skins.

Your claims of "This event is unfair to Alphas!" seem to be getting a bit more arbitrary and further from the realities of the game.

I like the event as is, if it's just a straight up smash-and-grab for skins people can run around and steal wrecks like they have been, anybody who isn't interested in running the sites can scoop the skins for cheap. I'd be perfectly alright with more events exactly like this. There's been some forum tears, and that only enforces that it's good for people to be fighting over sites.

I think I did about 60 sites in this event so far, the loot was stolen by a cloaky Tengu once, maybe 3 times I had to race for the final blow on the BC, but aside from these, people seem to accept that the site is being completed by someone else, especially if there are other sites in the system. I also leave sites that are being completed, because during the time that person finishes his site, I can complete even 2 others while not worrying about that specific player to interfere.

If you want an intelligent argument, please do, I'm up for it!

But if you want a trolling contest, I will win it by simply not participating.

Holy ****. The kind of people running the kind of set-up that can tank that are not wasting it on these measly sites.

Just because you suck on multiple levels doesn't mean everyone else does. Being afraid of your own shadow does not justify taking away any amount of pvp fun these sites may create.

Hell. The ten alphas might actually have some fun trying to kill a super tanked theif, and all they'd be risking is a few million each.
