We would like to formally bring charges against the miner known as "Johnny Legion" on behalf of all law-abiding and productive residents of the Trigentia constellation. "Johnny Legion" has been seen not once, not twice, but a full five days in a row mining AFK in untanked vessels within the belts of Akhwa. Members of the group which I have been asked to file this injunction on behalf of have readily observed him targeting asteroids and then going motionless once those asteroids are depleted- Sometimes sitting without action for upwards of 2 hours at a time! If his profile is to be believed he is Chief Mining Officer of a corporation; One shudders to imagine the poor attitudes and behaviors he is teaching his subordinates. His removal is a matter of public safety!

His laziness, bot-aspirancy, and flagrant disregard for the consequences of his behavior does everyone who inhabits this area a disservice. Our own efforts to educate him have gone unheeded. We submit the above charges to the court in the hopes that "Johnny Legion" may be given adequate cause to re-evaluate his poor life choices and request that agents skilled in such matters intervene.

The Court of C&P normally adjudicates on matters falling outwith the framework of EVE's EULA and TOS.

Has your own pre-referral investigation eliminated - as far as it may - the possibility of automated play in the behaviour of this character? The difference between bot-aspirancy and its widely-unpopular relative, is a fairly simple matter to expose, and if the latter is suspected, should be reported elsewhere.

Have you - not to put too fine a point on it - have you ganked this character? If not, why not?

I'm inclined to point out that the court was not established as a tool for the lazy and helpless. It is the shining sword of justice that provides light and promotes freedom where it is found lacking. As an avid spectator of the court's activities I would say your request for injunction will be tossed aside. The case you have presented is obviously beyond the hearing and judgment phase do to it's plain dumb obvious nature. You do not need the courts blessing to administer justice upon the perp. You have the obvious blessings of the court, this forum and all those that uphold the true underlying values that keep the heart of New Eden alive and well.

Go forth, administer justice and report back with facts and details.

PROTIP - some crimes need only an efficient street judge and do not merit the fanfare of full blown court proceedings. The facts of the matter are not small, however the task at hand is. (do it)

Has anybody filed a complaint with the Drone Adoption Mining Network yet to see if he is abusing his drones by leaving them unsupervised in orbit for hours on end as well? It is a well known fact that not providing enough attention to even the smallest of drones can cause them to go rogue. Entry level security agents are having to daily send out a capsuleer to clear out pockets of asteroids, put down these poor drones, and relocate distraught miners. I would have for this to become another D.A.M.N. problem.

The only violation I see here is the failure of the OP to resolve the matter on their own.

I put to the court that Johnny Legion is a repeat offender, according to court records (zkill) his previous offence fell under the remit of the New Order.

I motion, in the interests of content, merriment and justice, that the applicant for justice enacts a suitably explosive judgement on the offender within the next 7 days, upon which action we forward the case to the appropriate authority for further consideration.
