WHO tf is CSM and WHY they even exist ?

CSM is a bunch of -beep-beep-beeeeep who claims to take player wishes to CCP. In fact, CSM -beeps- represent only themselves when they meet CCP so they gain even more isk for their alliances and for themselves and even sell it for real money.

Scammers as well, Mittani for ex. who represents the players (read goons). It's not hard to be elected when you lead 6k sheep (read goons). I don't recall electing anyone and I don't know anyone who elected any of them -beep-beep-beeeeep-.

Who is CSM and why is accepted by CCP is something I don't understand. -beep-beep-beeeeep them all.

If CCP wants to improve the game, they better set opinion polls for the players, not listen to these -beep-beep-beeeeep-.

You'll see there are so many things that CSM members don't know or bother to talk to CCP about cos they actually don't care about the players.

Disband CSM.

I doubt public opinion is the way to go either unless you think the majority of people don't want to instagib steamroll everything with minimal effort.

This thread is turning into a bag of beep.

I think the CSM is a pretty cool (if also pretty novelty) idea, and much better than ccp trying to listen to popular opinion which would only end in idiocy and a worse game.

And I much prefer it to be made up of people who might maybe be possibly accused of scamming, misleading, and generally make full use of the things that make eve eve.

I mean if they start listening to the vocal minority we are gonna end up with Hulks that have 200k base ehp and pvp only availible via consensual dual system.

If you want to see the CSM disbanded the best way to do it is to gain control of the CSM and then suggest it to CCP.

Anyway, I do admit that most of the people on the planet are idiots ( otherwise how could I live without a job? ) but give CSM the "power" to represent us is stupid as well.

Some of the CSM directly intervene when CCP does not take action. I now of one guy in particular who simply used a small fleet and existing game mechanics to make a huge difference. Rumor has it he prevente dover 100 Bn isk in one day from being created. Some called him hero....

I for one like the CSM and welcome my new GSF overlords to their positions of extreme power. Thankfully most CSM are modest, hard working people who are really out to make New Eden a better , more fun place to spend time. And also troll and take the drama llama for a spin around the forums....

The CSM were created to shut everybody up after CCP were caught cheating at their own game.
We were fed a stream of lies about how the CSM would clear up the corruption and cheating.

Then a box arrived with the CSM in it. On inspection the CSM was seen to be toothless, but it came equipped with a bunch of pigeon holes in which to stick the myriad of ideas that appeared on the Eve Online forums. All of the pigeon holes backed onto a fire pit where all of the ideas would end up.

The box also contained a note, hastily written in snow english.

"hallo you eve playurs. here is ur csm, it's not very effective. so we made "internul affairs" department. be sured that if we cheat at our own game more times we ourselfs will police it more properly to not get court."

So the group of preferential customers called "CSM" set about it's task, papering over the fact that CCP were no longer developing Eve, but were in fact writing other games and didn't have time for any of your **** thank you very much.

Now that CCP have had their error pointed out by the money they no longer have, they have refocused on Eve directly and have no further need of the CSM. But they're smart enough to know they might need it again once the cash flow is back on track.

I do think that surveys and polls will do a far better job of getting peoples opinions, that pop up I got in game when I was about to log on was a good idea too because it means people who actually play the sodding game and don't just forum troll while being afk will be able to give their opinions and be heard rather than just a select few.

See, this is not RL, he represents the EvE playerbase: that lovely bunch of scammers, pirates, liars, thieves, PvPers, group players. All of them prey and feed upon the same sheep: soloers, bears, slowpokes.


Also, this is exactly like in RL politics minus the hypocrisia minus paying people to close their eyes while sheep is eaten.
