Drone skills effect fighters?

Was wondering of some of the skills that make your drones do more damage or fly faster effect your fighters as well? It doesn't say fighters in the skill but isn't a fighter still a drone?

FAQ. The answer is no.

E: while people might refer to fighters as 'fighter drones' the standard drone skills don't effect fighters.
