You can put in a support ticket for a 4+ hour subscription extension in order to procure and activate a PLEX.

dont need hours for plex now as you become an alpha clone and can still get about

This is the mentality that allows companies to provide the bare minimum in quality of service. Respectable that you seem to be a polite person but in the case of thanking someone you are paying for not doing their job on time, that isn't helping anyone. Not so much aimed at the technicians that might actually be trying, but if management sees you/us as satisfied then they definitely won't hire more people or take other action to actually improve the user experience.
Just my two cents on the issue.



if they were making no effort to rectify things then you would have a point.
however being critical when people are doing their level best to resolve completely unexpected issues and posting regular updates, is not being a concerned customer.... it is something else entirely.

Eh... imho EvE has way less problems than other MMORPGs of this scale and compexity so give them the time they need to fix stuff that went wrong. And it's not like they do turn their services offline just for fun. If you change stuff it might work in dev but break in production.

Test servers are never 100% identical to production servers unless you don't run any debug processes (which are needed for testing) and run the test server on axactly the same hardware (which means: "Say goodbye to Tranquility when Singularity is running")

You don´t know what they mean with rollback do you?

It´s the version number of the game, never ever the database. Your possessions and skills are on database.


That depends entirely on what the backend changes are and what they broke. If it was underlying data structure changes then it could well be a DB rollback, followed by a roll forward on skill queues etc.

DB screw ups are kind of fun to trouble shoot under pressure in a twisted kind of way, which ironically means they are perfect for EvE :D

I'm just not about to thank anyone for a delay, not really gonna blame them either. Although I'm sure the actual people involved would agree that more resources/staff would benefit both the product and their work environment.

To safe quote on quote posts about how bad this is for the paying subscriber (customer) maybe next time announce a downtime off 6 hours if it's deployed earlyer we only get Happy faces...


And for all the Australian pilot who think its unfair when downtime hits think twice these people @ ccp work normal working times and might wanna be whit there familys in the evenings for them it's a job for you just "a" game....
