So a small update, Still looking for a good Low sec static c1, whilst building our shopping lists. etc.

Thought we would try our RR mallers out in some WH sites to see how they did.

They did really well.... but we both stopped looking at Dscan and got jumped by a Brutix. After a minute of derping around we decided to fight said Brutix; It went terribly. We both exploded. But it was proper fun, so lessons learnt :

- Dscan is life

- Brutix is scary

- If a wormhole has loads of warp disruption bubbles and 2 citadels it's probably active

- RR mallers do work.

Peace o/

The more time you spend in w-space, the more you will develop a sense of whether or not you are actually alone in a system.

If you guys are already running the sites in groups, would you consider a C3 with a low sec static? I think I have an alpha clone sitting in one that I toyed with before going with a C1.

It wasn't completely empty, as there was a single large POS online. What was amazing about the system (if I recall correctly) was that you had the exact combination of planets you need to produce Nanite Repair Paste. In the end I decided that industry was not for me, and that I preferred a C1, but I never bothered to move the alt.

Interested? I never contacted the current resident, so I don't know what kind of reception you'd get, but if nothing else you could check it out.

Thanks Taurean,

That sounds very interesting so far it's just two of us really going for it. Would we be able to manage c3 sites?

I'll ask my corp mate in a bit. and contact you ingame if that helps?

Cheers again though!

With just two Mallers you probably could do it, but it would take longer than it should. Probably better to keep looking for a C1.

In our usual feet first plan,

We would love to accept the offer of the c3!

We can run dual harbi's if we need to or Navy aug's so we wll be ok.

And hey we can always skill into bigger / better ships over time!

I'll fling over a evemail as soon as i can log on today Big smile

Would you like to stick your alt / alpha in our corp for PI purposes (get something out of this for yourself)

Thanks again Taurean Shocked

Navy Augoror's in pairs, Massive buffer tank? With RR.

Able to run the easier c3's sites?

We are not worried about speed clearing that will come with time and skills, we are looking to have fun work together and maybe snag a kill or two.

Most of the fits / recommended are just min / max fittings for much higher SP. They don't mention ships that new people could run.

We plan to do most of our 'farming' in the random WH's that spawn and we know we can easily run C1's and C2's as we have practiced (with mixed results lel, see previous posts) But it would be nice to have the option to test our metal in harder sites!

I am man of a million questions!

You guys are the best.

I can create a channel for New Wormholers where we can share our fails and any experienced players can join and share advice?

We moved in 2 days ago and we are having a blast!

In the nicest possible way, when I'm actually in game I really don't want to be talking about PI. I'm looking at roam maps, system maps, and my D-scan in the hopes of generating non-consensual explosions. I'm already monitoring local, intel, corp, alliance, fleet, and corp public chat channels, as well as the corp slack account and voice comms; yet another channel to monitor is not my idea of a good time.

So for me, forums work best because I can check in every now and then and see what's been happening. I can take time to answer, and that's alright.

That shouldn't stop you from starting a channel, though. I'm told that people with social skills enjoy that sort of stuff. Pirate

Nice! Did you use that C3 I sent you, or did you end up going with something else. How's it working out so far?

We ended up going for a C2, with HS, C1 static for a few months (hopefully) But fully prepared to lose everything for fun!

So far we have made our Pos money back so it's pretty decent!

Thanks again for all your help Tau.

Also about non consensual exploding...

https://zkillboard.com/kill/59989668/ our first proper kill!

Congratulations on the kill. And on making your money back so fast. Fun in Eve is good. Sustainable fun in Eve is better.

I think the HS static is a good choice, to be honest. And if nothing else the C2 will give you constant exposure to other wormholes in case you decide you want something quieter. Best of luck to you both.

So this morning i'm running my little combat sites, blapping sleepers half afk. Then im warp disrupted!

I **** myself, look at whats attacking me, it's a Stratios! and a curse!

So rather than accepting my fate I overloaded everything, got within optimal and then this happened.

https://zkillboard.com/kill/60022617/

I did die to the curse and hit survey planet instead of warp so lost my pod to the curse aswell but **** me, that was the most hyped i have been in this game ever! First proper solo kill!

Don't think they expected my Harbinger with t1 guns to be doing nearly 600dps with wormhole effects.

I love wormholes and i'm never moving out.

And that, boys and girls, is why you don't shield tank a Stratios. I know it feels oh-so-clever to ignore the armor tanking bonus, but you are going to feel oh-so-silly when you die in a 2v1 to a T1 battlecruiser.

Congratulations on the solo kill. No other video game is going to give the shakes the way Eve pvp does. And for a number of reasons, w-space pvp is the most intense pvp Eve has to offer most players.

Don't feel too bad about the 'view in planet mode' thing. When I made that mistake it cost me a full set of Halos. Ugh
