I think something went wrong in CCP marketing..
I'd suggest a big red flashy sticker on the box that reads: 'Content not suitable for bears' or harsher warnings.. like they have on cigarette boxes..

@OP.. all the best for your future, it will not be with Eve.

Not suitable for bears who do not wish to understand what security scores mean. I can bear with the best of 'em but I'm also acutely aware that stumbling blindly into low is asking for trouble.

I am "care-bear" and its perfectly suitable for me ..
Thanks for your concerns.

Also negative advertising is still advertising. And as far as i can recall .. EVE specifically advertised scamming as an major feature along with "meta-gaming" of dissolving alliance and getting all their assets.

That's okay, you have me tempted to start up another account now. I need a combat pilot that will eventually capable of lighting a cyno for my one day dream of a Jump Freighter. Would you still happen to have your 60 day trial key? I'd appreciate it if you could share that with me, please.

You do realize that you are not allowed to run a trial with a paid sub right?

well you are wrong..

You can do that.. however you wont be able to have them both logged at same time, which is non-issue since for an alt you need just brief time to set up training queue.

It is all a matter of how you chose to play and what you chose to do. If you chose to go to lowsec alone without an escape plan you chose to be a victim. It is called Low Security for a reason.
It could be fun to gather a group of disgruntled carebears and go out counter-gate camping. You can do it!

@OP You are clueless about the workings of a sandbox game, If you make LOW-security space secure, then what's the difference between that and hisec? You also fail to recognise that CCP make an income from people who pay using isk as each and every PLEX was put their buy rl $. You are just awful, please repeatedly self destruct your pod without updating your clone, biomass your character, uninstall eve and burn your computer.

Damn nature, you scary!

Folks, it was said back on page one.........Eve's not for you.

It's that simple.
I've been a newb mission runner being chased across what was safe high sec yesterday, before the war dec I had nothing to do with went hot. Some high pucker moments- but then that is sort of the point of a game I think.

Then I became a wannabe pirate, basic face melting goon. Whole new complaint dept- now there's no targets. Everyone is hiding in high sec, I see more capsules flittering about than combat vessels. It's sad. I know people that autopilot in low sec!

You get war dec'd for no reason. You get no fights for hours of getting TS just right, fitted all shiny, formed up and everyone moved out, search for a target that isn't blue or doesn't just dash--- then when you finally find someone looking to pull triggers- you get primaried and pop in less than 20 seconds.

THAT IS EVE.

It's all Eve. Mean spirited pirates, scammers, steep learning curve, ship unbalance/rebalance/out of balance every patch, blob this, nerf that, open freaking world, man!
But it's a space combat game at it's core. Until WiS makes us all into space Barbies forever- you still (mostly) have to undock to accomplish much in Eve.

There is no 'my sandbox to play in' there is only one big sandbox we all play space ship pilot in-
And my space ships all have guns on them..........

How?

Well you see. EVE with its "there is no griefing" GM policies has attracted most vile and disgusting gathering of would-be sociopaths with self esteem issues ever seen in any online game.

And you support them. 80% of EVE population is highsec. It is you who pay CCPs bills; but it is highsec griefers and 00 important internet spaceships tyrants and dictators who get all the CCPs love and attentions. (Lowsec is completely and might as well not be there).

Thanks to PLEX market worthless lowlifes can play game you pay for, for free, with isk from loot from your ships. If you were a fool who attempted to run missions or exploration in lowsec and got ganked, you are helping the pay for their game. If you are "honest" PVPer who has no time to grind and buy PLEXes for resell; your money goes to CCP to pay for their game time.

Please show on this plastic ship model where the evil ganker touched you improperly...

While I enjoy the sandbox gameplay the OP also has a point, it was great that the gameplay allowed you the freedom to be a sociopath, but you did not have to. The kind of people that joined EVE in the last few years are the same kind of guys that every MMO with a decent customer support would have kicked out soon enough.

A few years ago we read about huge scams, heists etc going on as events. Now we have rabble that is advertising their scam contracts in every trade hub and the space between, suicide ganks became fashion after some griefers with few PvP skills found out how to kill things that cannot shoot back without risking much.

In a way eve became a ghetto, it was always a PvP game and I would not want to have it otherwise but it has really gotten a bit out of control.

Yes and I consider most of the people posting here as worthless, ingame and out of game.

The game was designed from the start to be open PVP. And PVP in everything, including financial matters (Scamming).

No "if"'s, "and"'s or "but"'s.

If this is a problem, then this is not the game for you.

People like the OP come and go. They're not going to stick around for years like the "sociopaths".

Therefore best to just let them have their rant and then depart.

Yeah, but if you upgrade the trial with a 3 month sub you get 5 months of paid gametime Lol

this is probably about the 5th time I write what is essentially the same post (in different threads) but people never stop being stupid for some reason...

I play in 0.0. Currently 2 of my 9 characters are in 0.0 and one is in low-sec.

78% of my characters are in empire, yet what actually matters to me gameplay-wise are the two in 0.0.

Before Dominion many 0.0 players had to have mission alts in high-sec to generate the income required for funding pvp.
Ever since the anom nerf many 0.0 players again maintain high-sec characters for incursion farming - doesn't make them part of the high-sec population you seem to love so much, though.

The 80% number is almost certainly vastly overstated - how many empire players keep some alts in 0.0 (very few) vs how many 0.0 players keep some alts in empire (almost all)?

So please stop quoting meaningless population statistics that are based on characters - you'd have to poll people about their primary playstyles to get any reasonable data.

o/ OP , trader reporting in to say he sees no problem with eve as it is .

You want an mmorpg where you can be free of grief and death ... you choose the wrong one there mate so better not waste more time on this game and go try out other mmorpg's , i am sure some out there will suit your needs better.

And FFS what's wrong with just unsubbing instead of all these 'We need to stand up now because I have a problem with how this game is played'.Just frikking unsub allready on your own , or do you need to hold hands at every decision in life you make?

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

While the OP is clearly somewhat deranged, his point is valid: If EVE is not the game for you, unsub and play something else. I wish more of his kind would take this simple solution, go back to WoW, Rift or whatever. That way the Devs can keep the Sandbox as cutthroat as it is, so those that joined EVE because they actually like the game as it is, can further enjoy it. And people like the OP can play whatever random game they want.

Everyone wins.

Btw, X3 is a good game for those who just want to singleplayer EVE without any meanies showing up to collect your shiny loot pinata.

EDIT: Oh, and people throwing out sentences like
