assuming 3m profit per ship and your building 24 a month that means it will 791 months too make back your money if you payed 57billion isk

I doubt i'll be playing eve for 65 years

Ripped by who ? By a research agent who GAVE me the BPO for free ?
Strange way of being ripped, actually !

Anyway there is no need to be so aggressive.
This posts helps me to have an accurate idea of this EOS BPO price.
It is therefore normal that I try to get the max out of it.
It is therefore normal that potential buyers argue that it's not worth what I ask in the first time.
It is also predictible that jealous / negative players say that this BPO is total bullshit like it would hurt them if they found it in their hangar.

Anyway instead of adding oil on the fire of stupidity, I'll take the best of all I read in this thread and will consider either continuing producing EOS as I did so far, or adjust my price in a win-win contract.

Thanks to all the people who posted here so far without any bad thoughts.

Cheers.

Don't be so sure ! Lol

According to my latest price checks (which i admit needs to be updated since it's from one month ago), the building cost of an EOS is 124M (assuming you don't mine anything and just buy the moon minerals + Brutix at the best prices from all the main hubs)

Since Oct 22nd, 4 of them sold at 180M in Amarr and 4 of them at 170.5M in Dodixie. I can provide screenshot of my wallet to anyone who would not trust this.
But as someone said above in this thread, it can be that some people do manipulate the market to make profit, so the 'real' price of an EOS is still to be confirmed by the markets.
So I guess we will eventually know what real profit can be done on each ship.
50M doesn't seem realistic to me, even if that's what I currently get.
But 3M is certainly not realisitc either.
Go figure...

Eos had been making negative, sometimes barely breaking even, for some years due to its massive nerf it had received in 2005.

Now, due to the proposed hybrid buff, price for both Astarte & Eos has risen up to its former glory along with Diemost. Astarte price will continue to go up, I am sure. But I am not sure about Eos as it is not really a gun boat. Then it's not a drone boat, either. Tech 1 version of Tier 1 and 2 BC will do the job better with lesser resist of course

So, in my own opinion, unless CCP somehow decides to take a good look at Eos for the winter expansion, I reckon price of Eos will go down to its former level after some time of the expansion release.

But I am not criticizing you for wanting to sell it for the price you desire; it is your own freedom to sell the print as you see fit.

Update :

I took into consideration all comments above and since I have other plans than building EOS, I will put it on auction again at more reasonable price.

I took some time today to check alle building component prices ine Jita and Amarr (was too lazy to check other market places)
and assuming you buy all at the best prices in those places, my Excel file says that the construction price of an EOS is 144,16 millions isk. They go for between 180 and 190 mil.
So let's say it's an average profit of 40 mil on each, but well organized corps can certainly do much better.

Start price is 50 bil.
Location : Luminaire.

Have fun.

You are building 15 eos in 3 weeks and you sold only 6?
But you still made 17mio profit with trading. The profit you get from the BPO is still based on the sale price in Jita (167mio atm), at least all other t2 producers see it that way. You are asking why? Oh well because everyone could buy it in Jita and haul it to Amarr and make this way 17mio profit.

PS: 50b would be a fair price if you would sell all ships you build and if the profit would be 40mio. But you get only 20mio profit with the bpo per ship and the other 17mio profit is with the trading you did which has nothing to do with the bpo. This way a fair price is under 25b since you just can't sell all ships you build.

May I please have it? The Eos is actually my favorite ship and I would love to have a BPO of my favorite ship. Even after the nerfs and much negative press, I still have a soft spot in my heart for it.

I will take it at 25b

Just did, sorry for my late answer (heavy RL)

But I got an offer for 51b, so I'm sorry I cannot accept yours.

I anyway appreciate your way of negociating, without stupid hate like I saw on this post.

Cheers.

Hello all..

I've been away from the game for some time for RL reasons (and eventually never sold my BPO) and now find that the EOS sell for some 220M in Jita while the building price is about 160M.. Can someone explain ?

Hello.

PI tax has massively increased with the winter expansion, causing prices of t2 components to go up by large. Some products are effected less. Some are hit harder.

Weird. Haven checked the material prices in Jita it seems that EOs building price is now more like 150M than 160

Maybe someone is trying to raise the prices up.

http://eveeye.com/profit.asp?blueprint=Eos+Blueprint&POS=1&RAP=1&F60=1&sellPrice=180000000

btw, on the 17th of january someone bought up all the eos' in jita (23 total) for an average of 180mil/unit. they have since spiked to 220mil, but for our sake were using 180mil as the average sell price.

with the 180mil sell price, and current jita build cost of 196mil/unit, your looking at a 16mil loss/ship or -5.6bil/year loss at current prices

I don't know how this site makes its calculation, here is mine, based on Jita's advanced material prices (in green)

This makes a production cost of 158 mil

You cannot trust those sites right now because t2 component prices are unstable. Nevertheless, components prices have shot up by a good margin. That's an outdated excel sheet you have.
