And some stupid gankers waste up to 4 catalysts for one t1 barge. And that Code "roleplayers"? Their chat spammers? Just trolling. They admit that they ask for 10 millions just because developers asked them to make some gameplay reasons for ganking, and they don't really need such small amount of isks. I can make a screenshot where code troll admits that.

It used to be the case that barges were profitable to gank. The ones that fit a good tank were left alone (unless hulkageddon or an ice interdiction was going on but those were rare), the ones that fit an anti tank got attacked. But then people whined to CCP and CCP eventually caved in and nerfed miner ganking so hard it became impossible to turn a profit. This resulted in two things, far less PvP and CODE being the only threat miners in highsec will ever face.

So we went from a fairly balanced playing field where if you were good at mining you profited and if you were bad you got nom'ed to todays game of nothing at all happening aside from a handful of terrorists suicide bombing miners at a loss no matter how the miners fit. Plus terribly unbalance barge lineup to boot.

Yup. If you mine in anything other than a skiff or procuror you will eventually face a gank attempt. Even if you fit a tank your chances are not good as CODE. are not doing it for profit but more for ideological reasons. Still, the solution is to remain alert and not mine AFK or semi-AFK. If somebody you don’t know warps into the belt, and you are not in a skiff or procuror, GTFO.

And stop complaining about this. You asked for it and now you are getting it good and hard.

It's really not that bad anymore. Gankers aren't patrolling the belts as much as they used to be. I afk mine in a mack everynow and then in a not-quiet system. Haven't been shot at in a while.

Would you mind to tell me who the alt is and the system you are mining in?
Maybe also skill levels and you're fitting.

Go into popular mining systems and d-scan for a mack. Then scan my fit, but you're gonna need some deeps.

You can still find videos of that battle exhumer where the guy would bait can flippers and kill them with his exhumer. Can't do that anymore either.

And there are constantly repeated crime. What will do a real empire in this case? It will change law. What can be changed? For instance. If someone blow property of other player in empire space he will lost not only security standing, but also he will owe money to the property owner. And before he return the dept he will wear status "outlaw". This will not give problem in case of engaging by mistake, on one hand, but on other professional suicide gankers will get feeling of real outlaw and civil force will have fair chance to protect honest traders.

- it is within the mechanics
- but one thing is really broken: a highsec ganker can do it again and again and again! So police or any other security forces are just cunts, a change would help solving that issue. Like highsec gankers would get something like extra long timer like jump fatique ! There is a difference between lowsec and highsec so why not force highsec gankers to fly only unarmed or non combat ships when destroyed several times for the same crime (ganking defenseless ships)? I understand the issue to play with the mechanics but i think it shouldn´t be that easy to do it again and again and again!
- same should be in low: i can´t get why gate guns are stop firing after i warped of to a bounce and warped back.... as long as i´m suspect for a crime every sec. gun in system should go on attacking me !!! Because i´m a criminal using weapon systems against someone or something!

Look....the only reason they can do it again and again is because some doofus of a freighter pilot puts way too much cargo value into his freighter.

Stop defending imprudent players.

No, really, stop defending people who turn their ships into literal loot pinatas.

I think the reason is not that the tools aren't there, it's more because miners became professional victims who rather cry than use the tools at their disposal.

I mean a Skiff can be fitted in a way that it basically matches a HAC but still able to mine. Also they usually have an Orca nearby which you can use to reship or refit, which will give you fleet boost and logistic support all while adding another insane amount of DPS with it's drones into the mix.

I never encountered a PvP fitted Skiff or miners using the true power of the Orca. Very very rarely they sometimes switch ships from a Hulk to a Skiff or something.

But even with all that potential firepower and trickery at their disposal they still rather cry how everything is balanced in the aggressors favor and how they are defenseless.

I actually make it a point to loot with a Venture into an Orca after a gank and if they attack me with whatever ill fitted ship they get killed with some stored toys from the Orca and some comments about how they can attack a defenseless ship and still loose. Not sure how many times that setup got buffed in the last years because of miner tears, so thanks for the tears indeed. I mean I don't even need a separate boost ship now.

No! If i shoot someone down ...and come back 5min later to do it again and again and again! something is broken!
Shooting spaceships is all i do in eve but when it comes to crime (yeah i´m a pirate too) nothing will stop em but real punishment! So being able to gank again and again and again is not meant for 20+ bil freighters only but mining ships in belts etc.
This need to be changed!!!
Same in low! Let every gate gun shoot me and every gun on stations until my "CRIME-TIMER" is over!

GIVE SEC-FORCES BRAIN!!!!!

What is broken is that the pilot you are shooting has not learned his lesson.

How often must you derp a ship before you stop derping your ships?

Don't be dumb. Don't be imprudent. Learn how the game works. If you don't know ask. There are lots of people here who would be glad to help.

Hell, I'd help you. If you posted, I just bought a freighter what can I do to minimize my risk to a freighter gank? I'd answer politely and with what I considered solid advice.

1. Don't put too much in the freighter in terms of isk value.
2. Fit a tank.
3. Use a scout.
4. Have the scout fit webs.
5. Don't be afraid to dock up and wait for it to be safer.

Others might have additional advice.

But to sit here and say, "No I should be allowed to be a moron and not suffer the consequences!" Makes you and entitle brat.

Well to be fair, yes I can fit an awesome skiff...if I do say so myself. P

But I also attribute brains to CODE. and that you guys aren't going to go after my skiff. I have never considered CODE. to be dumb.

Yes, I believe you and I wasn't actually talking about you Big smile

It's not only about ganking, but jetcan miners are still a thing in some areas. So if you warp into a ball of Skiffs with a Venture and an Orca and steal all their ice or ore you would expect to get shredded to pieces if they are prepared. Because realistically you just went suspect in the middle of a HAC ball. But they usually just warp out and cry in local in the hope someone is doing something™

Ok ok ok, I get you. 5min sounds a bit concerning. Let's make it 3 times more, something like 15min. I mean after all it is a game, 15min sounds reasonable. Would that fix the game for you?

YOU don´t get it or are you just ignoring it! I´m saying that it is a broken mechanic when you can do a crime again and again and again! Same when you just warp of gate and warpü back to avoid gate guns!
And all your steps 1. to 6. doesn´t help anyone to get out alive if they are a target of suck a gank!

Noone should be feel safe anywhere in EVE but ppl doing 24/7 nothing else than ganking in high are a problem esp. when it is comming to new players!

So my wishes are really easy ... if you do a crime more often why should anyone allow you to get into their space with an armed ship? The meta are really stupid here! I think giving concord more brain would help :_) ...and again same for gate guns etc.!

NCPL (Necromonger of new Eden) will make EVE great again!
