I don't expect anything. My life has taught me that much. Yet other people expect things from me, and often their expectations are coated in delusions of grandeur. But not mine, for while they believe I can accomplish whatever infernal plot they have devised, they don't regard me as more than a sum of my parts. My resentment for those people only grows as I sit in my office and read the daily reports of their misadventures they call lives.

I believe we have established that humans are a paradox. self contradiction and delusions are the basis of human culture everywhere. in the age of information, when ignorance is a choice, people are still ignorant, because it is better to be wrong and deny it, and diss everyone who disagrees with you, than to learn something and become a better person and probably also a lot more worthwhile for everyone else.

I didn't knew the English meaning of "paddling your own canoe". And since you said you had enough of bullshit, I thought that you meant that someone had said to you the Turkish sentence and it was bullshit. So I thought than the english translation was provided to show how it was bullshit, so I tried to figure how paddling your own canoe could be bullshit, and then I figured that maybe the word "canoe" in turkish was a name for a sexual position known in Spanish as "canoe" (piragua) and since it's impossible to paddle your own canoe in the sexual meaning, that was why you said it was bullshit to paddle your own canoe. But then the wolf and its neck made absolutely no sense...Shocked

(In case you wonder, canoes are meaningless in Spanish tradition, so I couldn't figure it was a idiomatic expression related to work on your own. Ugh )
