Ore drop off at Mining Platforms?

Nice little feature suggestion, if your going to implement delivering contracts to structures, how about being able to drop off your ore to a mining platform, without having to dock?

Another crazy suggestion was that the mining platforms are able to field small fleets of mining ships that will mine out the belts as per NPC mining fleets. Other players will of course be able to put a stop to this by shooting them.

First idea should be easily implemented, second one not so much so but will satisfy peoples desires and come good on some of the promise for mining platforms.

the idea is being able to put any item into your hanger in the structure

Do that with any structure with any contract.

Absolutely no passive or npc mining.

Drilling platforms should spawn belts in system or around the platform, but you have to mine it yourself.

a part of me wants them to do this for moon mining like they talked about but the part of me that remembers the old T2 prices fears it.


do we think ccp is able to balance the yields to make up for an active risky mining!!?!?!?!

I thaught hold sizes on barge and exhumers were already balanced around how often you would need to dock without mining support. I believe the OP is looking for a friend with a mining command ship. That or a risk free way to boost mining yield withouout other pilot's assisrance which of course shouldn't happen.

No currently in a pos you do not need to dock
