Resurrection from Doomheim with plex

Some people quit EVE and they send their avatars to Doomheim (afterlife for New Eden capsuleers). I don't know statistics about this issue but probably some of these people want to come back later and regret they send their avatars to afterlife.

I propose resurrection service for Doomheim characters. You could ask for resurrection for your avatar. You could only do it with same account where your avatar was when you send it to Doomheim. If name is taken then you need to rename your character. This service would cost you plex or two. You would need to have free avatar slot in your account for this service.

Over years I have "quit EVE" several times but I always came back and never send my avatar to Doomheim. He was just sleeping some time.

Comments are welcome for my idea.

I suspect there are technical limitations that prevent this. I don't think Doomheim is a permanent state for a deleted character and it seems very unlikely that CCP would keep every deleted character in Eve history sitting around on a server somewhere with all of their stats and such intact for no reason.

Ya know, consequences and all.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Customer Support can actually do this, in, as they put it, "exceptional cases." Your stuff will be gone though, so make sure you give everything away before heading off to the great clone bay in the sky.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

Doomheim is just another Corp (with specific rules about what happens to assets). Characters in Doomheim can already be moved out, the only difference to normal being that you need to request GMs to do it through a support ticket.

No need to pay for this.

The reason is that permanently deleting those characters would **** up the game in various ways. The most obvious problem being that certain in-game references (corporation founded by X, for example) would no longer work, resulting in an inconsistent state which would lead to a whole lot of other problems.

For the same reasons corporations are merely closed and not deleted.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Monetizing this service would allow advertising it for all current and past capsuleers. It would be service that produce profit for CCP. This could bring more people back here in EVE.

There could also be service to open closed corporations. You pay 1-2 plexes and your corporation is opened again.

Why the hell would you want them to monetize a service they're currently offering for free?
Particularly one that falls under their generaly generous customer service attitude.

Sense , you're not making any.

1. Have you heard alpha accounts? It is FTP account. Monetizing this service would allow to use it with alpha accounts too.

2. If CCP advertises this service there will probably be enormous workload waiting for poor Game Masters (TM). Monetizing this service would allow hiring more Game Masters (TM) for CCP. This would give us faster service from Game Masters (TM). There has been issues with slow service from game master services. They are understaffed and this would rectify this situation. Monetizing game master services would allow developing more and better game master services. Stuff like custom corporation logos. You pay plex and get custom corporation logo. Cool!

3. Advanced game master services sound good! Monetizing them would allow bigger array of services. More work for Game Masters (TM) more money CCP gets to hire more Game Masters (TM).

4. Game Masters (TM) are employees of CCP and CCP pays them salary for their work.

Yeah I'm pretty sure now that Mikhem is actually that EA guy CCP hired a while back.

No you're not going to convince me that I'd be better off paying for something I currently (and correctly) get for free.

Did you by chance play a part in the Obamacare roll out?

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Can we visit Doomheim?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
