Citation needed.

No game, ever, even Chess, is "perfectly fine".

Perfection is unattainable in any game.
Otherwise there would be only ONE game.

The ONE perfect game.

Those are usually some requests for small changes and balancing.

People like you on the other hand seam to suggest they make a completely different game out of EVE. EVE always was and always will be a PvP centric game with some PvE elements.

If you looking for a pure PvE experience you are probably in the wrong place

"People like me." Maybe you should stop making general assumptions. I've never said I wanted a purely PvE game, and I've never said I disagree with every PvP mechanic in the game. What I've tried to be an advocate for is balance or, more specifically - counters to certain types of gameplay.

Players like you (see how easy that is?) will often refuse to engage in any kind of meaningful debate and simply go with the 'GTFO line' as an easy out.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

lol, having the same conversation across multiple threads.

It comes down to personality, the cup half empty people (those that always need 'change') and the cup half full people (those of us who are pretty content with how things are and aren't fretting over every little imperfection).

Life is imperfect, if you spend all your time thinking about how "thing could be better", you are missing out on how cool things are right this moment.. That is a life of dissapointment, waiting for a future that may never happen while wasting the time you actually do have.

No kidding, I tend to feel sorry for those neurotic "change" folks, because they not only aren't happy now, they probably never will be, ever.

Ah, I found it!

Realtalk: you've been threatening to quit over these quixotic windmills for half a decade. Why not ask yourself if you actually do like EVE, with all it's ganky, blobby, unfair, cruel risks, and worst of all, it's indifference to Fazmarai-demands, and maybe start engaging with it as it is?

I wouldn't have played EVE for most of 8 years if I didn't liked it. Just happens that what I like of it is fading away as things I don't care about overtake it.

Do you marry every person you like? No. And sometimes the people you like change to the worst. And precisely because you like them, you try to do something about it, no matter how quixotic it is.

I never hoped to win the battle. But certainly I'm fighting it until the end of my will to fight it, which isn't any near yet.

By the way, I don't want EVE to change. I just want it to improve. More and better PvE made according to what PvE players enjoy and wish would make a better and larger game with brighter prospects.

And who knows. Maybe I would like some of that improved PvE enough to give some money more to CCP... then I would be busy playing EVE Online instead of typing. Bear

While I tend to think PVE could do with some change; eg, dungeons that need different sized groups to be completed rather than everything being solo game play. I have trouble with the PVP vs PVE schools.

I often wonder how many players "don't" PVE. Pretty much everyone I know engages in PVE content in some form or other (I include traders, manufacturers, etc in this group as they are primarily pve), whether it be to buy another super or just earn enough for next weeks pvp losses or to get that next bling mod they so badly "need" for their fav ship.

So why aren't more players calling for improvements to PVE?
My thinking is, for the majority PVE is a means to an end - You do it because that is how you get shiny things, not because it is how eve should be played.

Indahmawar, I know this has been suggested many times before but why not try stepping out of your comfort zone, spend some of that isk you've stockpiled for years and buy a Tristan (or any other frigate you choose), jump into lowsec and pick a fight. You'll lose a lot of cheap frigates along the way but you may just find pvp has something to offer you. If not, you've lost a few mil but can go back to running the same missions over and over, just to see how much more time you can spend making isk you'll never spend.

My opinions are mine.

  If you don't like them or disagree with me that's OK.- - - - - - Just don't bother Hating - I don't care

It really is getting harder and harder to justify $23 a month for each sub.

The short answer is that I never have felt and never will feel comfortable with PvP in EVE Online. Actually, EVE Online is the only online game in which I don't PvP...

The long answer would not lead us anywhere so I will spare myself to write it again and you to read it.

Just will point that it's not "mah iskies". I am **** poor by PvE standards, and that reflects my attitude towards money both in games and RL. Actually the commodity I value more in games, and which is my golden ruler for them, it's time.

And I think we all would agree to say that EVE Online is a big time waster, with PvP being the ultimate time waster.

IMO, that time waste is the most Icelandic feature of the game: it's a game made by and for people who's got literally months of neverending nights with little to do outside, so at one point spending 6 hours watching a slow motion space battle looks like acceptable videogame design... Ugh

(Yes, I know that big battles are exceptions. And so are quick fights...)

If this was intended to me, it is a gross misrepresentation.
I am quite possibly even more hawkish and core proponent of PvP permeating all aspects of EVE than you.

Nonsense, or I wouldn't have asked whether it was.

It was the post below mine and somewhat ambiguous to whom it was intended.
I just asked for clarification. Perhaps it was about you, instead.

Had you actually bothered to read the post directly "after" the one that set your paranoia lvl to maximum, it would have been obvious it was not intended for you but then paranoia.........

Look, the next development cycle will probably be announced at FanFest along with the sale to CCP to EA.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

"Post after the one"?
Are you suggesting she can time travel?

Her post was the one below mine.
You might be new to the internet, but an unaddressed post in that proximity connotes association.
All I did, was ask for clarification. She answered. Matter settled.

Sorry if that triggers your paranoia, but sometimes a question is just a question.
That was already resolved, yet here you are, trying to make it into something it was not.

Well, the Rubicon plan still is going on so whatever is the development cycle for 2017, it's going to be more of the Rubicon sh*t. Probably will be corporation changes (management and structure) since resource extraction structures have been delayed to Autumn. Nothing even remotely likely to improve PCU.

As for selling CCP, it will happen either 2017 or never, since the value of the company currently hinges on VR and as 2017 goes on that value will decrease. I don't see any developer buying it, rather some financial company which may either be a "hands off" owner or a "increase value and resell" owner. The first would be fine, the second would be the end of EVE Online in the most unglamurous way.

(In my trade, we've seen a large company being sold to a new owner of the "increase value and resell" kind, and the new owners are pretty much fu**ing up the company they bought, causing an exodus of brains (they've lost 60% of their Sales teams in a year) and a clear deterioration of customer experience)
