So the Idea here is, to add spinning to the Citadels and EC's.
Only the person controlling the citadel can do it, and it should be very very slow.

So here are some reasons, as far i can think of:

If you try to warp the opposite direction after getting out a Raitaru (not sure about others), you might get stuck when you're in a large ship, or have some low SP on navigation, which is kinda sad..

While taking control of the Citadel/EC, by double clicking something, it actually says "Aligning XXX" at the bottom, but not doing anything...

This might add more interesting PVP stuff going on, by changing the direction of the citadel/EC is facing, and it can give some advantages by facing to the instant warp direction where you want to warp to, either a stargate or another Citadel/EC

How i think it could work:
While controlling the citadel, double click to align to somewhere in space. The Citadel/EC slowly turns and face the direction you want it to be in. This process might take up to mins, or ten mins.

I'm all for options like this when anchoring a Citadel but they shouldn't be able to turn in space.

Ignoring for a second the bumping possibilities there's very little benefit to this. Citadels have a huge safe zone around them, so there's no reason you can't move clear of the dock before warping off, and if you really really need to you can always use an instant-undock off grid of the Citadel and bounce from that to your destination.

The main likely use of this would be screwing with the physics via bumping people with Citadels, something more likely to cause an abusable or problematic edge case than anything else in the game.

The "aligning" message when gunning a Citadel is just an artifact of the ship UI that was used for that external view.

i can honestly say that i have never out of the countless raitaru i have undocked from bumped against it. one i have to do bi-daily is pointing 180 from the gate i need to take

so if i can do this **** in a charon there is no problem

i would however like if it was easier to point WHEN SETTING UP

Yes, being able to angle them more freely when anchoring would be awesome!
