I'm definitely interested. Seems like a good group of people! The only thing I don't have currently on your list is the living in 0.0 sec. I am a huge fan of pvp and am currently training into some proper skills and would love to be a part of SF! Let me know!

Eight years ago this day, I joined Star Frontiers.

Eight years, I mean that like a third of my life on this marble. Holy ****. So eight years ago, I was an uppity teenage ******* working at a coffee shop next to my high school. My friends that I played D&D with had just picked up and gotten into this spaceship MMO. Eventually, after a few months I caved in and gave it a try. Naturally wanting to play with my friends, I joined Star Frontiers.

At the time, Star Frontiers Academy was how we screened people. EVERYONE was required to go there first for a minimum of three months and you stayed in high sec. If they were new, it was three months to learn this crazy game and if they were a spy, it was a three month deterrent and not getting any intel. At the time, the Foundation alliance, a big player at the time, fractured into three alliances: Republic Alliance, Rooks and Kings, and some other group I don't remember. At the time, Band of Brothers was the power and at the time, Supers were called motherships (moms). A titan DD killed every subcap on the grid and remote rep battleships were the only meta anyone dared to bring to a serious fight. You had to train skills to train skills and remaps didn't exist.

Star Frontiers was a lot smaller in that day. Argus as you know started this corporation with his RL gaming friends but there were always these little "pockets" of people. You had the Canadians; Mazi, Jalak, Cyandius, Putrid, Simmons, Hatsumi. My friends; Kariem, Jackson, and Kayvan, we were in the same pocket as Sensha and the legend, Tito Deritancio. There of course were other amazing pilots like Fewtoes and the brothers Nijle and Valenheart, the carebears like Yagyoshi.

When I got out of the Academy, I got my graduation ribbon and this was the time SF was first getting into 0.0 things. We sided with Republic alliance and I hold dear the first memory of fighting a carrier and thinking that station games was content. I learned about war decs the hard way when I lost my very first battleship I proudly earned after setting it on auto pilot in high sec. I learned what kill mails were and also how you cant warp to someone who isnt in your system in a hilarious fleet.

Going off to college was when I had my "growing pains" and through it all, Star Frontiers was there for me. I remember out first time in Geminate being so proud that Argus, *THE* Argus himself, had trusted me to help take the first fozzie sov and let me haul an ihub in my cloaky hauler. I mattered, and man i was so proud of our little dead end pipe in 4K0N. I also remember the night when my best friends mom, basically my 2nd mother, passed away. I went into a dark place and that night, Argus and Kariem and Sensha stayed up until almost 5am on comms dealing with my drunk ass and my alt ended up getting kicked. I learned during the next days hangover what POS guns can do to a neut hulk. I'm still ashamed about that night to this day.

The rest of college had its ups and downs mainly downs. I remember Canaris Roshaak splintering off and taking a good number of our pilots with him. We grew our european presence with the likes of Kilyun (aka my alt and father of my unofficial god son) and Morden and even that crazy Aussie Desmond tutu and those insane Romanians CoffinBait and VelvetHarlot. I remember the nights when Argus logged in to tell us the good news about his sons being born, the glory days of ratting in fountain, recruiting, trying and failing to restart sfac, running incursions. Our first attempt at an alliance, Ignore This. (ITDOT) and recruiting Mclovn's WH corp and then promptly shitting up their c4 is an amazing manner. That scary Irish drug addict Teladius who had a hardon for Argus. Dirt Nap Squad, getting our fearless general MatthewMN. The McNeil clan and Symbiotic (tell Adenah I said hi). Syra Devi, the longest active founder after Argus running the moo goo empire that kept us in the black.

My college experience, unfortunately, left me with some severe depression and even worse alcoholism that to this day I am still fighting and working on. Graduating and going back home, I struggled with being thrown into the real world. Gone were the days of being able to stay up drinking until 4am playing games on a Tuesday as I learned by getting fired from several jobs for not showing up. I hit an all time low and I'm not ashamed to say my drinking and depression rendered me homeless. I was disowned by my father and I was sleeping on Kayvan's living room floor.

Through all of this, I was still playing EVE somehow (I swear you guys weren't the problem). My sister approached me and told me she was moving to North Carolina with her boyfriend and offered me to come with to restart my life. I hemmed and hawed about a decision and I reached out to Argus for advice and to this day I will never forget the words he said to me. I won't be sharing them here, but they honestly saved my life. I swear i'm not tearing up as I write this. With his words of advice, I moved east with a new purpose, a new head on my shoulders, and a second chance.

Since then, I haven't been as active in EVE, but you guys are still here and all of you, you guys and gals ******* rock. Over the past three years I've been turning my life around and I still have a ways to go, but I don't know where my life would be if I didn't have you all and I don't think I could play this game with any other group.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Argus and Star Frontiers.

PS Im not quitting and we are recruiting.
